2023-10-07 16:14:36 +0000 UTCIt is fortunate for fans of BB that when I started the graphic novel version I really had no idea how long it was going to take to tell the story in comic book form! It's kind of a fine balance between too many and too few worlds, but in trying to keep some of the qualities of the novel I do like the narrator comment or else show Serren's inner thoughts. Yes, I enjoyed very much creating the scenes where he discovers the joys of a good bubble bath and identifies with his mother!

It seems that you manage this story with long paragraphs of text describing the complex and evolving feeling of the characters and I really like it. Emory Ahlberg does so, and maybe influences you on this point? I won't push the comparison too far because I am not personally very interested in Emory's characters thinking when I am very interested in Serenina's inner thoughts. I like her both discovering she cannot act as a dominant male anymore AND all the new exhilarating options she now get as a girl.
