I’m enjoying this so much. I really do love hearing your thoughts on the show. It is kind of crazy how this passed censorship and there’s a lot more in later episodes that makes you wonder how we’re allowed to watch this. The way they look at each other, especially Wen Ke Xing…crazy.

(they did make a lot of dialog changes that people who can lip-read have pointed out when comparing the dialog to the lip movements in some scenes) but STILL, even this is crazy. I believe the success of this show is what caused the most recent crackdown in China on anything remotely BL and ended up preventing other already-made danmei shows like the Husky & White cat adaptation and the Heaven Official Blessing adaptation to get stuck on the shelf and never released. Gong Jun (Wen KeXing) was in another drama adaptation of a BL novel before this, Advance Bravely, which they tried to turn into a bromance, but again, it's PAINFULLY obvious that it was not bromance happening there, lolol.
