my great grandfather John Biberg left Kortesjarvi, Finland in 1887 to venture to the Kalevala region of northern Minnesota. He was a full Finn in every sense of the word and his family was too. Each generation that followed lost a bit of their Finnish heritage. Until now as a history teacher who loves a good sauna, I want to re-gain some of what was lost and learn more about my roots and in a serendipitous way I came across your site on Facebook.
