Fake: The Gay Cop Anime | KYOTO VIDEO

In honor of Pride Month, we're doing a first KYOTO VIDEO! We're doing a video on a boy's love anime finally! One of the first boy's love titles to ever come to America as a matter of fact, a buddy cop narrative where the cops are more than just buddies if you catch my drift.

Hey there! I’ve been loving your videos and see you’re on the same YouTube grind that I’m trying to be on! I’m somewhat of a huge MrBeast fan and he says “The biggest cheat code to YouTube is having YouTube friends to go on the journey with.” I’m looking for someone that shares my passion for YouTube and I can chat anime with at the same time. So I decided to reach out! You got some time this week to chat?

I'd say one of the reasons Yaoi found purchase in US fandom is how similar it is to "slash" fiction. Male/male love for the entertainment of women . ESPECIALLY the quiet 14 year olds (any fanfic judge will tell you, NOTHING is as dirty-minded as a 14-year-old girl). Confessions of a Mask, is best understood as being Mishima looking at all the "I Novels" pouring out post war, confessing all sorts of weaknesses and peccadillo, and going "Hold my Sake.." The Homosexual stuff is the NORMAL part of it (the whole bits about St. Stephen etc are MUCH weirder). I'm reminded of a bit from "Here is Greenwood" (which did have a boy's love couple as tertiary characters). The two coolest guys (NOT the protagonists) in the story are alone (duh, they're room mates) and the ice cold one says to the "cool" one "I love you Mitsuru" there's a pause of one panel and Mitsuru replies "You're just saying that to get the readers excited." (Greenwood's 4th wall is notoriously permeable).
