Writing Article - Best and Worst Tropes

It's not so much what to write and what not to, but advice on how to tailor your work to have the best results in the current market. Be that in writing your own story or fanfiction.
Incorporating one or two of these (and avoiding the bad ones) shouldn't require drastic changes to a work. Often, it's just a small change on how you handle a scene (or scenes) that you've already planned.
Recognising what works and what is popular is a sure way to improve reader engagement.
