Added 2024-08-29 09:40:22 +0000 UTCFirst of all, thank you everyone for your well-wishes! Whatever was afflicting me seems to have passed, and I'm feeling much better.
Now to the actual announcement—I'm unfortunately going to have to delay the next update for a month. The reason why is because it's a pretty big update. What I've been working on is an overhaul of the NPC prey system. What I want to achieve with this overhaul is:
a) Make sharing a belly with another prey character less unsettling. As you can see in the mockups above, this is done by moving the NPC's face slightly further away from the camera, and by adding two more ways the NPC prey can be positioned relative to the player, the idea being that you and the NPC gets jostled around as you're digested and whenever you kick against the stomach walls.
b) Allow all preds to eat NPC prey, with some characters, such as Jasmine and Bessie, being able to have multiple prey in their belly.
c) Instead of only existing inside of the bellies of preds, NPC prey would be randomly generated and roam around like any other characters. You'd be able to interact with them and build relationships with them, but unlike pred characters they can be killed off.
For those of you wondering about Ruby and her area, neither of them will be introduced in this next update. I first need to get this new NPC prey system in place before I can work on them.

Your game has soooo much potential and soooo much more room the be even better but without any help - and as far as i read and understand, you only work a few days in the week on this - it will always stay behind its capabilities and its always sad to see what it is and what ir could be. Your game your pace of course, i can only ask and wish and hope and dream.

I love the idea of meeting other prey and watching them get eaten by preds! Would be cool if after they’ve been digested the pred occasionally references them being ass fat and having dialogue options around it. Maybe teasingly allowing the player to “visit” their friend, or asking the player if they want to join them as ass fat.

I had a curious idea, a little unrelated to the context of this post, but I was wondering if you had possibly considered the idea of implementing relationship rivalries between preds over the player in the game. What I mean by that, at least how I pictured it, is if the player's relationship is very high with a pred (possibly an important detail being if the player lives with said pred) and they choose a romantic option at a given time, or especially a sexual option (like normal sex or if you think unbirth would fall into the sexual category), with said pred they will remember said encounter and basically feel more attached to the player. Then if the player were to romance or sex with another pred and return to the first pred with high relationship they will question the player about it (whether the player smells like sex/another pred or has kiss marks on them), basically them getting jealous (another detail that could totally prevent the first pred from finding out would be if the player takes a shower before returning to the first pred). Then depending on player response, how high their relationship is with the second pred, and whether it was just a romantic moment like a kiss or if it was sex, the first pred in question will either forgive the player and move on, or vore/unbirth the player out of anger to a potential game over, or they will vore/unbirth the player and "keep them on a timeout" inside them but promising to let them out at a later point (possibly leading to a mistaken game over if the player's health is low or on quick digestion). If such a mechanic were added I imagine the chance of the consequences would vary depending on the specific pred in question that feels betrayed/jealous (example; Elaine might be okay with the player engaging with another pred meanwhile Sigrid might feel more offended and "keep the player on timeout" to prevent them from doing it again meanwhile Jasmine might feel even more upset and vore/unbirth the player with the intent to digest them). I also imagine this kind of mechanic would only qualify for preds that the player can currently move in with. Sorry for the really long comment, I didn't even expect myself to think this whole idea this thoroughly when I first started typing. Just thought this could be a really cool mechanic for the relationship side of the game.

As for this update idea I honestly can get behind it, also love to see in the comments that you plan to have them be savable characters too! While for things for them to do, maybe the NPC preys can also work for saving you from the pred characters? There is a few things that can possibly be done with em if you aim for some more story or fleshed out elements... Anyway hehehe. Idk but if the relationship isn't serving a purpose, it would just be wasting the players time if all that reputation would be lost if the prey died. You would know more about it, but If it's there to track interaction like having sex with the prey character you could maybe implement a simpler system like *prey was saved allow thankyou sex = 1 time. So if you want more sex save them again.
