Chapter 806: We Can Enjoy This Rare Holiday Together

He gently let go of Emily and said apologetically, “I’m sorry, I was a bit impulsive.”
Emily smiled and shook her head. “It’s okay. I enjoyed that hug too.”
She leaned over and kissed Su Luo on the cheek.
They sat back on the bed as a warm, gentle atmosphere settled between them.
Though they were still sharing the room, the earlier awkwardness had completely faded.
Su Luo felt physically drained. He took off his coat, lay back on the bed, and closed his eyes.
The match had just ended, and the intense confrontation on the pitch had left him exhausted.
He needed a moment of quiet and rest.
Just then, Su Luo felt someone gently shaking his shoulder.
He opened his eyes to see Emily’s worried face hovering above him.
“Su Luo, wake up!” she said urgently.
He sat up groggily and rubbed his forehead. “What’s wrong? What happened?”
Emily frowned. “Some reporters showed up last night. It seems they’ve caught wind of our relationship. If it gets exposed…”
Su Luo’s heart sank. He understood exactly what that could mean.
As a public figure and football star, having your private life exposed could bring overwhelming scrutiny and pressure.
“That’s... really troublesome,” he muttered helplessly.
Emily reached out and took his hand. “No matter what happens, I’ll always support you. We’ll get through it together.”
Su Luo felt the warmth and strength of her words. He looked into her eyes, filled with gratitude.
“Thank you, Emily. I’m really lucky to have you.”
Emily gently brushed a hand across his cheek. “I’m lucky too. We’ve already shared so many beautiful memories. Whatever comes next, we’ll face it side by side.”
They embraced, finding comfort in each other’s arms.
Despite the pressure and the uncertainty caused by the media, they were determined to support one another.
Su Luo’s body was still fatigued, and gradually he began to relax again.
He closed his eyes and lay back on the bed. Emily sat quietly at the edge, gently brushing his hair with her fingers.
The room was filled with peace and warmth.
Even with the trouble looming over them, in each other’s company they found solace.
They knew that no matter what challenges came their way, they would face them—together, and strong.
Gradually, Su Luo’s breathing evened out, and he drifted off into sleep.
Emily remained by his side, watching over him quietly, her fingers still gently stroking his hair.
Though calm on the surface, she couldn’t entirely shake the worry about the media exposure.
In the quiet room, both fell silent—each lost in their thoughts.
Finally, Emily, determined to lighten the mood, spoke softly.
“Su Luo,” she said, “how about we go shopping tomorrow? I think it’ll help us relax.”
Su Luo opened his eyes slightly and thought for a moment. “Shopping? That doesn’t sound too bad,” he replied with a faint smile.
Seeing the flicker of excitement in his eyes, Emily brightened. “Really? That’s great! We can enjoy this rare day off together.”
Su Luo slowly sat up and stretched. “I think I need a bit more time to recover my energy—but if you want to go shopping, I’ll go with you.”
