So, about RealityFilter
As you guys know, I've been fixing that dark fog situation...
It still needs some optimizations, but, at least for now, I feel that the overall picture is really good
It isn't easy at all to be honest, had to do a complete rework of everything that weather impacts, meaning, Sun, Ambient Light, Lights, a complete rework of Weather Control and more...
I've done the more difficult things in the beginning, except for one that I'm currently working on
There's a few more things to do, but those are more minor / easy adjustments, but there's something that is making my head hurt hahah
Remember that feature that prevents car displays from being overexposed at night ?
Yep, basically, because of how the fog fix works, it means that everytime there is fog, the screens will become brighter
And you are probably thinking.... Just lower the brightness !
You'd be correct, but if I do that, they will also get dimmer at night, going to negative values
Big no no
Nerd stuff aside, I'm working on the formula for the displays, to keep that feature but also make it work with the fog fix
Conclusion, the formula is super long and complex and still needs work
Bright side of it, although not there yet I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and may be heading in the right direction
Essentially, once I figure that formula out and finish those last minor optimizations I'll release the beta6
That's great, but Dário, what do you mean by RealityFilter and more ?
A while ago I talked about updating RealityMotion to version 3.0 beta...
To be honest, didn't give much attention to it at the time...
New features were being implemented to pure and I used my time to update the filter
But now that the filter development is more chill and I'm not being rushed to implement new features I can dedicate more time to RealityMotion
In RaceDepartment RealityMotion is already available as 2.0 Pro
The features that it has all work well and it's bug free, that's why the Pro designation
But, recently CSP got major updates and Neck FX was a part of it
It now has more features on top of working much better than before
If you already use RealityMotion, you've probably realized that the camera looks where the tyres are pointing at, instead of looking to the corner itself
Well, now corner detection is sooo much better, it works well and reliably
So, that feature that didn't work well before and that I essentially worked around, now I can take full advantage of
Also, remember me saying that the new Neck FX had stuff that I liked but also had some stuff that I didn't like as much ?
Yep, I contacted Ilja, the creator of the CSP, and he helped me a bit
That stuff I didn't like that much is all fixed !
It needs some minor optimizations, but I'd say that it shouldn't be thaaat long to get a release of the reworked RealityMotion 3.0 beta1
