Development update for August 2022

The new library page is live now! Let's dive in to the new stuff we released this month.

New library page

After a long development cycle, the new library page is live. It features a clean redesigned look more in line with our more modern UI elements, blazing fast load times for all users, a load more button much like the one on the achievement page so you can keep browsing without refreshing, tons of fixed bugs and issues, and setup for future library management features like backlog tagging. We hope you love it as much as we do.

Recent changes

• Fixed duplicate attribute entires in different languages in “About” section of Steam games.
• Fixed playtime and gamerscore not appearing on achievement pages for some games.
• Aligned design of top of user profile, stats, and community pages to match new library.

Quest for August

The theme for Augusts's PlayTracker Quest monthly challenge is "Chasing the Horizon", featuring global challenges from racing games such as Forza Horizon, WRC 10, and Assetto Corsa (which was also the mystery free game for last month).

A mistake on our end caused the Assetto Corsa global challenge to initially be from a paid DLC for the game. This was unintended - we want one global challenge each month to be possible using last month's mystery free game. We have since moved the faulty DLC challenge into the Patreon category and replaced it with a different achievement from Assetto Corsa. Special thanks to the achievement hunters that immediately notified us of the issue.

What we're working on

We continue on our quest to fix up the site and make it faster and less buggy, with a focus on Steam sync. With the library redesign released, our sights are set on Lens for Insight and we hope to release that into beta for our Patreon supporters this month.
