Washed Out To Sea - Rarities Roulette

The video was only up for 24 hours to allow people in different time zones to view and was then taken down to preserve the 'live' aspect as much as possible.
We are now pleased to share these performances with our Patreon community over the coming weeks.
First up is 'Washed Out To Sea', the final track from Something for Kate's fifth album, 'Desert Lights'.
Paul comments -
'When we recorded this for Desert Lights we had Mike Garson in the studio who we'd made friends with when we opened for David Bowie. Mike played with Bowie from 1972 onward and he is the greatest pianist I've ever heard in my life. Plenty of evidence for that across Bowie's catalogue.
We had a guitar version of this song but the version you hear on Desert Lights was worked up in an afternoon with Mike and recorded in a single live take.
The band has never played the song live so Rarities Roulette was an opportunity to try and rise to the challenge and I spent a long time trying to approximate MIke's piano part to the best of my (somewhat limited) piano abilities and even though this was a live stream from home, I was about as nervous as I've ever been playing a song live'.
