Gnosis 3 Summary
Added 2017-09-06 14:22:58 +0000 UTCIt's still only on Experimental, but wanted to give you peeps an update:
Here’s the final break down of what can happen when a player reaches Tier3 of Gnosis:
Light/Hope: God tier the ENTIRE party through murder/suicide. Fuck destiny, they are lucky enough/hopeful enough for this crazy plan to work.
Rage/Mind: Figure out that you can plan to doom the timeline on purpose to summon free Doomed Time Clone army members bent on stopping you. Spam the fuck out of this.
Breath/Time: Set up game breaking flying mounts/teleportalizers to significantly speed up game play. Everybody spams quests for awhile and gets shit done.
Space/Void: Access glitchy broken areas to find an unfinished Denizen hoarde. Give out OP as fuck Denizen Songs and grist to whole party.
Blood/Heart: Realize that SBURB has an “interaction effect” mechanic to boost stats, spam the fuck out of it by setting up either speed dungeon crawls or speed dates.
Doom/Life: Realize that there is power in dying and coming back to life (either through subverting a prophecy the doom player places on you right before killing you and reviving you, or through absorbing your own ghosts as the life player kills and then revives you). Uses up a life permanently (unless you’re god tier), but gives you a permanent 1.5 times stat boost.
As a reminder, the Gnosis Tiers are:
1) Learn the Rules
2) Teach the Rules
3) Exploit the Rules
4) Change the Rules
So, NOW we get to move on to the main event: Tier 4. I cannot wait to break the shit out of this game.
Probably about half of Tier4 is on Experimental right now. Once it's done I'll clean everything up and apply bug fixes, and then Main will officially be Post Great Refactoring just like Experimental is.
