Introducing THEMEHAWKS! Plus RRP comparisons and more!

It's release day, and today it's a new type of hawk: THEMEHAWKS! And they are exclusive to BrickHawk patrons :)

With THEMEHAWKS, you can add a hawk to a LEGO® theme, and whenever the price of a set that belongs to the theme drops below the threshold you define, you will receive a hawk alert. Much like SUPERHAWKS work for any set from a particular retailer, THEMEHAWKS work for any set (regardless of retailer) for a particular theme.

So if your LEGO® hobby or collection centres around only one or two (or seven or eleven!) themes, then THEMEHAWKS are just for you. Simply add a THEMEHAWK for each of your favourite themes, and you'll never miss an awesome deal!

If you are a Little Hawk patron you have 2 THEMEHAWKS, Middle Hawk patrons have 6, and Big Hawk patrons have 10 THEMEHAWKS at their disposal.

RRP Comparison on THEMEHAWKS... and SUPERHAWKS!

THEMEHAWKS also include a switch to enable RRP comparison, so you can decide if you want BrickHawk to compare the new price against the previous price before it changed, or the RRP of the set when it's determining if your threshold has been met for an alert to be sent. RRP comparison has also been added to SUPERHAWKS - something that a number of patrons have requested:


Now if you are worried that adding a THEMEHAWK could mean three hawk alerts in your inbox when David Jones drops the price of the Creator Expert Roller Coaster by 30% (because you've got a Hawk on the Roller Coaster, a SUPERHAWK on David Jones, and a THEMEHAWK on Creator Expert) - fear not! Starting now, you will only receive one email when this kind of scenario occurs. As soon as one email is triggered for a Hawk, SUPERHAWK, or THEMEHAWK, no more emails will be sent for that particular price change. 

To help you understand which hawk has triggered the alert, there is now some info at the bottom of every hawk alert with a link to find the hawk:


Other improvements

A few weeks ago one of the retailers became rather "chatty" with availability alerts - sets were going from "In Stock" to having nothing for their availability and back to "In Stock" - sometimes in the space of an hour! This was fixed so that if stock can't be checked at a given time (which had been resulting in a blank/empty availability and an alert) then it won't be changed from what it was previously (and no alert sent) with the hope that it can be checked later on to see if it has actually changed.  

Also some availability changes (specifically In stock -> Out of stock) are being detected more quickly. For some retailers it was taking over 12 hours to come through, but this is now happening within an hour. 

The detection of price, availability and offer changes is always being improved in the background to try and ensure you receive alerts as soon something changes. If you ever spot something that hasn't updated, please make sure you email the details to info@brickhawk.com, or send a message through on Patreon. The sooner a problem is spotted, the sooner it can be resolved, improving BrickHawk for everyone :)
