Ingredients
10–12 apples
2 oranges
1 sweet lemon
4 cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon whole cloves
A few cardamom pods
16 cups water
1/2 cup brown sugar
1. Chop all your apples & citrus into quarters.
2. Add to a large stock pot. Add the rest of your ingredients, minus the sugar.
3. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce & simmer for 2-3 hours.
5. Mash your ingredients, or use a stick blender.
6. Use a cheese cloth & a strainer to strain out the pulp.
7. Place the apple cider into a pot and reheat for hot apple cider or place into a pitcher and let completely cool for chilled apple cider!
8. Add sugar & stir until dissolved.
