Deck Roasting Changes

Hi Everyone,

Starting in April, deck roasting is no longer going to be a tier reward through Patreon. The demand has grown large enough that no matter how I frame the expectations, the roasts filling up in less than 2' is too fast to be a reasonable fulfillment of the tier. It now seems mostly out of reach for those who work on weekends, people in significantly different time zones, etc. I have even heard complaints from people who were prepared right as the form opened and their internet could not load quickly enough to fit into the submission window.

These are going to be moving to Ko-Fi, as that platform will allow me to sell them as a limited stock item, cutting confusion about how to get it, and making it a deliberate one-off transaction every time you are able to secure a roast. More info about that will come later in the month/through my other social channels.

I am going to be moving around the Patreon award tiers as a part of this in an effort to make the lower tiers more satisfying, as I expect many people will be cancelling or downgrading their memberships. I appreciate the support all of you have given me, and I am doing my best to restructure this such that your support will lead to accessible benefits at whatever level is comfortable for you. To everyone who continues to Patreonize me at a high support tier, I will be figuring out cool and nice things for you! Expect more information as the month progresses, this message is being dropped sans hard details on that so that people can downgrade/cancel their subscriptions ahead of time. If you have signed up for the $25/$50 tier in the days leading up to or after the March roasting slots opening up in anticipation of a roast, please feel free to reach out for a refund; the ramping demand has surprised all of us over the last few months and I am happy to make right any misunderstandings about how easy it would be to secure a roast.
