70K AMA & Progress update!!
Added 2023-01-17 00:48:02 +0000 UTC
Please enjoy this photo of me being DOPE AS FUCK some time in 1986. I'm putting this here just as a counterweight to anyone who may think I'm getting a big ego now that I'm about to hit 70K subscribers and doing an AMA. You cant have an ego while a photo like this exists. Just look at me in my knee socks and sandals on the beach. Someone beat this kid up, please.
So yeah, it looks like I'm actually gonna hit 70k, probably overnight! I'm honestly still kinda shocked. I still remember the day I hit 1K subscribers. I genuinely thought I'd reached my ceiling! I kinda assumed there wasn't much of a market for my weird ass voice and sense of humour, but damn I'm glad I was able to find so many like minded individuals. Thank you, all. I am genuinely not an egotistical person in the slightest, so whether it's, 7, 70K, or 700K, I am still just some weirdo who loves martial arts and fluked his way into video creating, so I will always be thankful for you guys support.
So yeah, lets do this thing! Ask me anything! Be it martial arts, movies, videogames, music, whatever burning questions you have, (within reason!) fire away. I'll collate them all and do a video response within the next week or so.
As far as the next video goes, I just hit 30 minutes of recorded dialogue, and 24 minutes of completed footage. So far, I really like how this one is shaping up!! The first 3rd is based on historical freakshows, boxer v wrestler matches from the 40s & 60s and shit, and I just started on Ali vs Inoki today.
I've also done some pretty cool stuff with this one, (or at least, it seems cool to me, other people? shit could be hit or miss..) I wont spoil anything, but I've spent way too much money on stupid segments in this one already... 😆 Your Patreon money hard at work!!! I actually had a segment about Jack Dempsey i really wanted to see if I could convince fellow MMA 'tuber MixedMollyWhoppery to read, but I'm not on twitter so if any of you are and follow him, please harass him to do this for me 😆
Also, I'd like to share this clip of the greatest fight scene I've ever seen:
Ed Parker fight scene from Seven (1979) - YouTube
This is what I love about researching these videos. The weird, random shit you come across! This guy is Ed Parker, who was the coach of Gene LeBell, who you probably know as the guy who made Seagal shit in his pants. While reading up on Gene and Parker I found this clip on yotube and you better fuckin' believe I found a way to get this in the video.
Thank you all again! Catch you soon!

2023-01-19 22:37:07 +0000 UTCThis is unrelated to any celebration of your channel slowly inching closer to the recognition it deserves, but I have a question for you, Mr. Blownapart. I recently read what I have now come to understand is something like sacred document in the world of MMA, that being the article: "Worst Life Ever: The Story of Kazuyuki Fujita's Skull", written by self-described hilarity technician Seanbaby for Cracked.com back in 2010. I noticed a strong similarity to your style of comedy in his writing, particularly in his use of obscure references to old video games and comedic exaggeration. Hence, my question to you is if you are in any way influenced by Seanbaby's work? I only got into MMA when Stipe Miocic wrestle-humped his way to his third title defense against a very winded Francis Ngannou, so I am largely unaware of what the big writers in the community were in the early 2000's. This question might therefore come across as a little silly, like asking a successful rock band if they have ever heard of The Beatles, but I am genuinely curious. Love your content. I'll see if I can get my coach to wear one of your shirts next time he makes the walk to the octagon.

2023-01-19 13:21:47 +0000 UTCHey Napoleon, just wanted to say I love your videos! The first one I saw was The Rise and Fall of Conor McGregor, which randomly came up on my YouTube, and I've been hooked ever since. This is a random question, but in that video, you said at one point that you started out as an electrician, but had to give it up so as to achieve your dream of turning pro at Tekken. Is that actually true? (The electrician part, not the pro at Tekken part.)
