I really liked the dress Hong Chau's character in The Menu wore, so I decided to try making something inspired by it! I went with slimmer sleeves, because I thought that would be less complicated on a technical level, and more useful for broader styling.
This outfit comes in two packages:
I feel really bad about taking so long to finish this! I've been having a hard time with finding the motivation to work on CC right now, but I also had like 3 WIPs just sitting in my folder that all simply need texturing at this point. Sometimes I think after trying to mesh and make everything work okay in the game, I end up running out of steam when it comes to texturing, which is super frustrating because that's arguably my favorite part!
Anyway, I don't think I really did this dress justice. In some ways, I feel like I limped across the "finish line" for this project. Since I wanted to stay with a palette that suited more of an office setting, I really struggled with what colors to pick. In the end, I decided I'd rather just be done with this one and move on to the next project, so I do feel kind of lukewarm about this palette overall. Maybe it's not the best thing to admit about a piece of CC I'm posting, but hey, who even reads these little mini-blogs I write?
*Are you tired of me shoehorning a plaid swatch in every project? You will have to pry my plaids out of my cold, dead hands!
