Health update and next week planning

Hello my dear patrons !

Hello to the newcomers too and thank you for joining this place.

I don't know if I already told you before, but next week end I'm invited as a guest to a French convention called Wazabi.  I still don't know if I'll be able to go. I'll decide the night before like I've been forced to do for the past 2 years now.

It's not really far from my home ( about one hour and a half) but that breathing problem has taken a new whole dimension. That is really a shame because everything else has improved a lot. It's like the issues I had with my gallbladder /stomach moved to my lungs and throat.

I've been following a corticosteroids  based treatment for 15 days now + Ventolin several times a day but it's not improving . The thing in my throat is still there ( clicking when swallowing /stuck saliva/coughing/ pressure ) and it's like I'm out of  breath as soon as I move + tachycardia. My chest is heavy but I can breath and it's like there is not enough oxygen in my breath .It  also burns in my chest.  It looks like asthma but it's not quite like asthma  and it doesn't improve with asthma treatment. Or maybe it's still too soon to tell? I hope it's just that.

So I've been crossing fingers for things to improve before Friday so I can attend the con 'cause I have the energy I lacked before ! So please weird problem with my lungs : go away !. Please cross fingers with me  o:

I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow for more testings  ( it takes so long ! arhhhhh!)

Sorry no picture with this post, next one then :)

Take care +++

I saw your message to late , too bad. I could have thought of more precise things to say to the doctor. And it was not terse ^^ Well, this doctor doesn't believe it's asthma either. Yet he didn't give me any testing to do ( or X ray). He didn't ask me the questions you are pointing out either ( like "is it difficult breathing by lying down?" etc etc)And I didn't pay attention to everything. To answer your different points : It is easier for me to breath when i'm lying down and not moving. I believe I also have sleep apnea because I woke up several time as if was suffocating but as soon as I'm awake it stops. The burning sensation is not a sharp stabbing pain, just a disseminated burning sensation in the lungs ( I guess it's due to the dry coughing), I have to cough a lot because it itches inside the lungs and because of the glued saliva . I can breath, my breathing is not loud, it's just like there is not enough oxygen in it. So I have to take long and deep inspirations like a fish outside water. Ventolin does relieve me though for a short period of time. I have noticed my socks leaving marks on my skin which means I may have some water retention but not to the point it's swollen. I have been having a rash for 2 months on my upper chest and upper back which itches a bit . ( and this symptom is chronic , I have been having it for years, it comes and goes away) The clicking is the throat is not as annoying as it was a couple days ago ( I believe I'm just getting used to it after 1 month and a half of having it). Neither is the pain in the lymph nods. I don't have fever anymore either. So the doctor just wanted me to stop the Budesonide but I don't know if I should stop it straight away. It doesn't look like it's helping much ,but still, my symptoms have evolved a bit for the last few days. Zelitrex didn't work so it probably wasn't CMV and neither did essential oils . Last year I had a slight macrocytic anemia , I dont' know as of today and Pregnelonone has never been checked It looks I'm more TH1 than Th2 thought on my last test a few months ago : 59,9% TH1 (CD4+cd45RA+CXCR3+) and 30,9% TH2 (CD4+cd45RA+CCR6 TH1/TH2: 1,94. Th17 are a tiny bit above the average too However, this time the doctor was ready to prescribe roxithromycin and lymecycline for intracellular bacteria. So i'm waiting until I'm back from that convention and from my friend i'm going to visit right after) and then I'll be taking these 2 antibiotics for 2 weeks. I can't start now because of the probability of having an herxheimer reaction. You know what? I'm in fact applying what you are suggesting :) I do meditation everyday and with it I always visualize myself being happy, energetic, doing much better ! And I do believe I'll be fine someday, for real. I'm already doing so much better ! I guess it works :). Not to the point it's a miracle but to the point it helps. During these past 2 years , my vision of life has changed a lot. I could say i've become a believer. Not in a god . But in life and its mystery and in the universe itself. My body and its inhabitants see me on the winning path, they are trying to drain my moral and sometimes it works when anxiety gets the best of me , but not on the long term ^^ So now i'll be going for my daily walking even though I'm out of breath and i'll try not to think about it because thinking too much of a symptom makes it worse ^^ sleep tight and rest well. :)

I really hope you make it to Wazabi - you deserve to have a life not dictated to by maladies. Hope events transpire to make your day/days. Take care and stay safe, little leaf.

Well, the steroids pretty much eliminate asthma or allergy as the cause of the breathing trouble. This leaves EBV (or CMV) as the primary culprit as it explains every symptom (EBV is typically transmitted via saliva so it is usually resident in the head and neck). The primary concern would be any complications that these could trigger. The throat clicking is the odd one (all the others fit a difficult case of EBV) but this could tag along with any URI so it really doesn’t tell us much. Any inflammation in the neck or lymph nodes could cause the clicking when swallowing by narrowing the Eustachian tubes. That said, it could also indicate enlargement of the thyroid. Has your thyroid been checked recently? Even though EBV is most likely, there are other possibilities. To help rule some of those out you should tell your doctor the answers to the following: Is the cough dry or productive? Are the breathing problems worse when you lay down? (This one is very important.) Do they trouble you at night? Do you have or have you recently had any swelling in your legs, ankles, or knees (edema)? Some things you will want to know (which old bloodwork might show you) which could help you start moving in the right direction and prevent future reactivations: Are you anemic? Do you have low pregnenolone? You may also be at the point where they should have a look at your lungs (CT scan, X-Ray, or ultrasound most likely) to make sure no complications have developed. Regarding the burning chest pain, if it’s a sharp stabbing pain when you inhale (or cough) which has you taking short, shallow breaths then it may be pleuritic pain. (Also occasionally causes the pain to spread to your shoulder or back.) This could be another sign of an infection but there are other causes. This might be enough to prompt the doctors to do the additional tests. Combine pleuritic pain and the nodules on your elbows and I would again say: rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately, there are a lot of things that fit these symptoms (just about every infection and associated complications) so I can’t give any concrete answers. But if you’re low on pregnenolone then it’s almost certainly EBV or CMV as that would be an indicator that your immune system is slanted more towards TH2 and likely deficient in TH1 which is what prompted reactivation. Good news there would be, you could find ways to reduce the risk of a reactivation in the future! Sorry for being terse. Rough week and I’m tired. Off to pass out for now. I hope you feel better and get to go to the convention Friday! But try experimenting for me: try believing that you will be fine. Truly believing. For a time, assume it is a certain truth. The implications of wave-particle duality are beginning to point towards consciousness defining how the universe actually exists (insofar as we can perceive it). So give it a try: expect to wake up each day this week feeling much better. Think about it, spend time with it, visualize it. Shape the universal energy to your will! Ok…I’m now sounding a bit like a supervillain. Time for bed… 😊 But it just might work!

Best of luck to you getting to go!!
