This post got me for a moment, because in the UK we refer to a "Sweater" as a "Jumper", and it became rather amusing. For a moment I forgot about the title of the song and was like, "Wait, she's given us an mp3 download of the holiday sweater?!" and then I realised that is silly and impossible (...or is it? wouldn't put it past you haha)

Thank you Kina for 12 days of twitchmas and I love the creativity and heartfullness of the themes. You said during the theme of "connection", that when you realised that others also felt lonely, this generated connection for you, as you felt a connection with others feeling lonely. This is a beautiful insight. ...And it's described by Kristin Neff in her book 'Self Compassion'. (Kristin is an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin) She says this: "Self compassion requires recognition of our common humanity, feeling connected with others in the experiences of life, rather than feeling isolated and alienated by our suffering" Thus whatever is happening to me, to you, whatever suffering I may be feeling right now, it's important to truly know that in this moment of suffering, thousands, maybe millions of fellow humans are also feeling similar feelings of suffering, feelings of disconnection. There's healthy self-compassion, that as humans we're all in this together. When I frame my suffering in the light of shared human suffering, I am no longer isolated, or alone and disconnected from others. The beauty is that if we can compassionately remind ourselves in moments of falling down that this suffering is part of a greater shared human experience, then we can choose for this moment to be one of connection, rather than isolation. The pain still hurts, but it doesn't become compounded by feelings of separation. Through this sense of connection we can find the strength to be in touch with our feelings, we can respond to our pain with kindness, knowing that we have the capability to reboot our hearts, allowing our difficult emotions to be expressed, felt, arise and eventually pass away. I believe that through your songs Kina, through this KG family, we have a safe space to be humans and to help each other through life's suffering; and to celebrate life's highs, knowing that we are never alone, for this is a place of connection for us all.

Stream today with the themes was great, everyone seemed to enjoy it, the music and the and the conversation around it. Great idea! Jumper is a pretty heavy song for those who have been touched either directly or indirectly by that most desperate of depressions. RIP those we loved.
