WATCH OPTION 2

In this episode we were introduced to the 3rd boss of Hope on the Street - Master Lock Woong who teams up with J-Hope to take us on a journey of freedom through the coveted Locking style. P.S. I love Lock Woong's style! Where can I get the caps and glasses he is wearing in this episode FAM? (see picture below) If you know - let me know in the comments below please.

We hope you enjoy this reaction FAM. AJJ & Blaze are dropping so much knowledge that it will be almost impossible to catch it all in one go...you are going to have to rewind 😁

🟣Our reaction to Episode 4 will be coming in just a few days from now. We are working on scheduling our next meet up time. Stay Tuned βœŒπŸΎπŸ’œ

Y’all are feeding my Hoseok praising kink πŸ˜„πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Bangtan is life

My face aches from smiling watching this! It's so joyful watching this series with you guys because you are loving it as much as I do, and the fact that you understand dance and can verify that the dancers and the techniques are excellent makes me feel even happier. I was a kid in the 80s and the whole aesthetic of not just this docuseries but also the album itself (the magazine format) makes me feel so nostalgic. Takes me back to everything being bright colours and hot pink writing in lightning style font πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ When I first heard Rappers Delight starting up I was like SAY WHAAAAAT?!!!!! πŸ˜† And also just loved learning more about Hobi's history in this one, with his two former teachers and hyungs. I'll keep saying it - SEASON 2!!! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ And I also immediately Shazamed Drops - it's my favourite song right now other than all the HOTS tracks of course πŸ˜„

Emma

hope is FEEDING us!!! 10000/10 amazing amazing. love that he's sharing his journey with us. looking forward to watching the rest w yall!

way

I loved this episode as well. I am an 80's baby, and I loved the dancing back then. One of my favorite movies was Electric Boogaloo and Electric Boogaloo 2. And I had the soundtrack from both in cassette form, lol. And I loved the show What's Happening. Of course, Rerun was my favorite. Loved that show. It was so fun watching you guys react to this episode and have the same reactions I did watching it. I have loved dancing and performing since I was 2 years old. And that is a big reason Hobi is my Bias. Love you guys πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

After I watched this episode, I had to come and watch your reaction! I liked all 4 episodes. However for me I enjoyed this one the most. Plus Lock/Unlock is my fav track. I grew up when this genre if dance was getting started in the late 70s/80s. Such good VIBES. Nice Reaction!πŸ’œπŸ’œ I knew Blaze and AJJ were really going yo enjoy this episode.

DinaArmyMom

The song after the rock paper scissors is called Drops by FKJ and Tom Bailey. I looked it up too. It had Lauryn Hill vocal vibes to me but I was wrong. Still a fire song though.

You guys are the best❀️

just another youtuber

This is literally of my favorite BTS projects ever... I can't say enough good things about it. But most of all, watching Hobi dance with the smile on his face brings me so much dang JOY! I also love the amount of love you have for Hobi and this docuseries.. he deserves all the praise!

7ShadesOfPurple

Loving this docu-seriesπŸ’œ And loving watching it with you guys!!! Bringing me back to the 80’s 😌

OnaNikki

I love any kind of dance and that's originally what got me into BTS back in 2018 when I happened across a video. Then I actually started listening to the songs and the music and down the rabbit hole I went but it was all because of the dance. This series is a real joy. Getting to see Hobi dance and see how happy he is, is wonderful. And I love watching it again through you guys. The Rapper's Delight scene made me so excited to see! They rocked it.

Marguerite Engel

It's amazing what dance can do. Blaze said he was going to play Still Life a lot again. I never liked the song. It wasn't for me. But I've started to like it after watching this episode. It's growing on me and J-Hope and Boogaloo Kin are to thank.

I feel you on that "I do my own thang" part cause same FAM. Cause I be getting down lol

So many highlights from today's reaction guys! 🎀 Blaze's "what in the H E double hockey sticks" took me out πŸ˜‚ 🎀 Nico's monologue about the culture of Hip Hop was a masterpiece! Sir you took us church! Last but not least 🎀 AJJ educating the people throughout the whole episode, it's so beautiful to see! I learn something new from you everytime. Shout out to Brodie, who just wanted to watch his Uncle Hobi and get a snack πŸ˜‚ There's something infectious seeing Hobi dance like this again. Going back to his roots. I'm gonna rant here lol, but I'm a firm believer in Hoseok being one of the best performers in the industry period, his foundations are undisputed. This doco is proof of that. He learnt from the ground up. That's what makes him special, that's what sets him apart, that is what makes him uniquely qualified to be our dance leader. And just to echo what hobi said in a previous ep or series (can't recall where), but he said he feels like he doesn't need to lead from the front anymore because of how experienced BTS is nowadays... I agree to an extent Hobi, however to the haters, don't get that twisted, just because he might not be in front, doesn't mean he isn't damn well pushing from the back and that is a true leader.

Lainee Fenton

Is this Hobi's version of Suchwita!!! Its amazing!! Quick side notes: Can't help smiling when I see the "soul catchers" make their appearance and I think everyone was "dancing in the heads" throughout your reactions to this weeks episode (as well as the previous 2). LπŸ’œ

joelle.nz

I am enjoying watch these with you all so much!! You never fail to make it even more exciting to watch these episodes πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Samantha

πŸ™ƒπŸ‘‹ Hey NIBLAJJ!! See ya Brody. I ready! πŸ€“ COME ON!!! πŸ˜† Nico forgot to have the Soulcatchers ready. 🀭 Boogaloo Kin don't take our souls this early - Nico. πŸ˜‚ Don't mind me NIBLAJJ, go ahead with y'alls conversating. I'm here for it. πŸ‘€πŸ“ Definition of locking. πŸ˜† Scalpel. 😲hhhh... Woong was the DJ for πŸƒ JITB Listening Party!! MOOD Nico... πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ I don't understand what I just saw either. πŸ˜† Nico calling more 🟨 technically fouls on Boogaloo Kin. πŸ‘€ Y'all kidding me!? OG Sugarhill Gang!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Pastor Nico preaching. Nico I think Hope On the Street reactions need to move location, so Blaze & AJJ can get up and dance without worrying about bumping in to things. πŸ™‚ Love the conversation between Hobi, Boogaloo & Woong. πŸ“– Ending Ments: Yes Nico 80s vibe was strong in this episode. I'm with you AJJ these episodes are too short. πŸ˜† What!? Why can't this be in the receipts Blaze? (AJJ & Blaze practicing to Still Life) BOOOOOOOO!!! ✌️See y'all on the next one.

happles

Hobi is killing it. Each episode is fire. Man I got my Hope on the Street albums and magazines today and they are awesoooome! The quality is top: the design, the colors, the details. They do everything at a 100%. Watching Hobi lights me up in a way that I canΒ΄t describe. Always a pleasure watching this with you Whatchrfam

Mariana NΓΊΓ±ez

I could not dance to save my life πŸ˜…, so I love watching this series with you guys - I appreciate dance more because of your passion and knowledge. πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ A lot is said about how awesome Hobi and this docuseries are (which I agree!), but what I also like is how (in a small way) he also pays homage to BTS, with JK making an appearance in EP2 and now RM’s β€œStill Life.” I'm not sure if this will be a trend in the following episodes, but it shows how humble and thoughtful Hobi is, aside from being extremely talented. Thanks, FAM, for a great reaction! πŸ’œβœŒοΈπŸ»

LouCas27

Ah! It's such a relief to experience this with folks who appreciate Hobi like I do. I'm not a dancer (I mean, I do my own thang), so I enjoy learning from you all. This docu series is impressive. But, of course, when you see "Created by j-hope," you know it's gonna be done right.

BTinTN

The more you guys get excited watching the amazing dancing, the bigger my smile gets.πŸ’œ You can feel the joy through the screen.πŸ•Ί

This ep was simply a joy! Jhope and his dancer friends brought back so many memories for me because I was in high school when "Locking" was at it's peak. I remember The Lockers very well and I saw them when they went on tour to the east coast and they actually had a female locker , Toni Basil who made the song "Hey Micky" We were all screaming for Shabba Doo! (rip) They were incredible. I first saw them dancing on Soul Train with those colorful outfits and crazy socks and hats. Seeing Nile Rodgers hitting his signature guitar rift at the end had me cheesing hard. FANTASTC EPISODE!! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

I enjoyed watching with you fam.... lock-unlock is a vibeπŸ’œ

You guys always get a gold star! Not only is Hobi amazing, he’s so humble which is a lesson in itself. I’m so grateful for the music they’ve chosen in each Ep. Its opened up a whole new world for me. They are listed in the credits and I’ve added each one to my Fav list and listen with joy. I have seen Ep4 and look forward to your reaction. Love your work 😘

And we are so grateful to have you join us for this experience. It’s really something special that is awakening something in all of us πŸ˜ŠπŸ’œ

WhatchaGot2Say

Nico, I loved when you said there are no gatekeepers in dance. Sometimes the world seems more divided than ever before, but I still maintain that music and dance have and continue to be a universal language spoken by all. We should definitely always understand and pay homage to its roots without putting up cultural walls. Thank you for speaking to this; it’s so important. I have LOVED watching Hope on the Street with you guys! I have no one to share my passion for dance with, or my passion for j-hope’s incredible talent. You three have sat in amazement, smiled, laughed, rewinded the video numerous times, and cheered right along with me. And I’m grateful!

Shelly Price

Nile Rodgers is the electric guitar player in the closing outtake credits in this episode. He is a renound musician from the famous early 70s-80s band CHIC. He has played prominently for major global artists and singers for 50 plus years! Look em up! https://youtu.be/pRERgcQe-fQ?si=M1nMep38TSrjblEF

Mady Hunt

I am beyond amazed with this episode! From beginning to end, I love every bit (Beat) of it. Lock/Unlock is my fav in the album, I couldn't be more happy seeing Hobi on the street dancing to this song. I was ecstatic watching him and Lock Woong as well as Boogaloo Kin. I was looking forward to it the most and Hiphop In New York ep. So thankful and grateful to Boogaloo Kin for his mentorship. This side of J-hope deserves to be in the spotlight and for the world to see. (Spoiler) the next episode (House in Paris) was kind of emotional. It was raw and honest. Excited to see your reactions. Since I know you guys and Hobi share the same passion for dancing so I subscribed here cos I'm a Hobi stan myself and I used to dance as well. I love watching Hobi with you guys. You love and appreciate hobi the way I do.

Julie Flores

In the middle of watching and just wanted to say I love watching with you guys. 1) Because 🀣 2) Because you guys watch with the experience and mindset of dancers πŸ’œ
