Agust 'D-2' Full Album REACTION!!

Comments

I'm turning 28 tomorrow

DanielleM

I love your comment

Elina Psych

I love this album. I appreciate how you pointed out every aspect of the song. Agust D is not just some rapper who raps about nonsense and parties and stuff, he writes from the heart, from life, from experience that people can relate to. if you notice, he is savage here but he also showed softness and vulnerability. That's really what I love about him. And I really do respect you guys for giving us a good reaction and analogy and life lessons too. You guys are awesome. Min Yoongi is awesome. All of us are awesome!

Watch from your desktop rather than your phone. Playback doesn't work well with vimeo on the Patreon app.

WhatchaGot2Say

Hi, I'm trying to watch this but for some reason i can't. :(

Geymi .

Thank you guys for such a genuine reaction. That’s why I love watching you guys. I know you truly love, and respect BTS. Yoongi is a very unique soul, he has a way of opening himself up, and showing you everything, even the most painful parts. I truly don’t know many artists who would do that. I can not choose a favorite song I love them all. May I say, Blaze should be a philosopher. He and Namjoon would get along well. I can see why he is his bias. 😉 Again, amazing guys! Thank you for being genuine with us. 💜💜

Tindo

Wow! I could not have said that better myself. I feel the same way. They truly love, and appreciate the group, and what they stand for. They are not just looking for ARMY viewers. I also love how philosophical Blaze gets. They take everything to heart. That you for putting my feelings into words. 💜

Tindo

The fact that we are all very different and can set any differences aside to come together and appreciate this art is the pinnacle of greatness! Thank you for joining us here...oh and like your name...same here 😁

WhatchaGot2Say

I'm a new patron but I've been following you guys in YT for a while now! I don't regret it! I really love seeing you guys react to BTS because you guys genuinely love them and respect their work. I also love the fact that all of us here are very different people who have built a community because each of us found a connection through 7 men. Looking forward to more of your videos!

just another youtuber

28 is my favorite from this mixtape, no skips on this mixtape of course 😩💜

Maria Brownell

Thank you so much for expressing yourself so beautifully! It was a real pleasure reading this comment. I'm so glad that you enjoyed vibing with us and could relate to us on this level. This is what it's all about for real FAM.

WhatchaGot2Say

To be able to relate to someone in his position, its an amazing feeling. We questions the government, our lives, our happiness, and our purpose. So does he. (Strange) We want to forget our past and anything that’ll burden us. (Burn it). We want what he has, he wants what we have like he said in (people). It makes me aware that no matter where you go in life there will be things you’re not happy with. But what’s wrong with that? It’ll pass. I feel like this song is such a huge comfort. This is quite possibly my favorite album on the face of this earth. It’s just so relatable to me. Losing friends who’ve gone down the wrong path. (DMF) . We’ve all experienced that pain. Being afraid to chase you’re dreams ESPECIALLY as you get older (28). Then Daechwita and What do you think? From when he was so angry. It has something for everyone. I truly love this album. Also the very personal song where he lets us know how he’s dealt with his hardships gives us more insight to his pain and character. 10/10 100/100. He did not miss with one song. Thank you so much for your reactions . All four of you. I can feel your genuine love an awe of the boys. 💜

Jenny Williams

Luna thank you for sharing your heart with us and going so deep. It makes me happy to no end to know that we were able to bring some level of joy to you when you needed it most. I agree with everything you said about this album and as a result of the raw, creative honesty that Yoongi was able to convey in this album, it has become one of my top 10 favorite albums of all time. And to think, it's technically a mixtape...let that sink in...like wow and how sway?!

WhatchaGot2Say

It took me a while to get to this reaction, because I saved it for a day when I needed cheering up most. I LOVED this.  Everything from AJJs Yoongi needs to get in on that vocal line to Nicos vibing to the beat and the lyrics to Blazes he welcomed us into his heart and home. As a fellow introvert this album meant everything to me and I relate to it so hard. He really wrote out my whole soul, heart and mind and played it over a beat. Killing me softly with his song, telling my whole life with his words. Just brought that song to Truth. I've been through alot of the struggles he expressed,  had those same thoughts and feelings. And I know I am not the only one out there, his music whether he means for it or not feels like validation. Validation for feeling sorrow and struggling and surviving, validation for being human. For still wanting to dream and have hope. His solidarity with humanity is powerful and he paints it like a picture. That same validation I felt when he was brutal and real about mental health in The Last.   Validation is a theme all of BTS give armies, from Idol to 2!3! to Change to Love Myself. Yoongi just drives it home gives it to clear. Makes you feel like, if he can go through and still go through it and come out successful and in a better place, than so can you. People slayed me. Your Ordinary is My Distinction, Your Distinction is My Ordinary. In other words. You look to me and think wow I want that fame, success fortune. I look to you and think wow I want that to be with friends, go out to a movie or dinner or store or to a friends house without being followed and watched. When he painted that in similar words in an interview I truly felt it, when I heard again in this song. That grass always looking a little greener.  He has a profundity that breaks even the sound barrier. My favorites though were Set Me Free and Burn It. Two sides of the same coin. The wanderlust and longing in Set Me Free. The birds singin in the intro, putting real soundbites like that it hit hard. It painted that picture of free flight so vividly I teared up. Wanting to be free of fame, quarantine, stress, but at what cost, is that really what I want?  That quadruple meaning hit me hard, and then a "Knowing that's not what I really want" just hit it home. And then Burn It yeah yeah I want it want it want it, I want to burn the past away the negativity  I want to be free of it. I want to look and the mirror and see a me I recognize. Just burn it. But if i burn it will it all end up the same anyway? Similar concepts with truly opposite feelings grit vs almost rock ballad. They both killed. But truthfully the whole album came for me, stole my heart and I am glad it came for you 3 too. You start with Moonlight and then all of sudden your knee deep in Dear My Friend wondering what happened and you want to play it again because what!? That D2 addiction  is real.  I honestly appreciate the value and honesty and the emotions you express in your reactions. Your truth really shows and it makes enjoying Bts and D2 all the more enjoyable. I knew my fellow armies would be in the comments making recommendations for better translations so I salute them, we just want y'all to get the full experience, the same one you gives us :). Sincerely thank you for making my dark day bright, I got nothing but love for the Watcher Fam. This reaction really lifted my spirits. Have a good evening and Borahae! -Luna

LunaBlake

The translations in those lyric videos really don't do Suga's lyricism any justice... Also, in Dear My Friend, that part w/ the asterisk is actually the most painful part of the song and explains the rest of the lyrics, but it was worded very poorly in the translation so it's easy to overlook. He basically said that he was eating out with the friend to celebrate his being out of jail (after visiting that friend in jail every week) only to be asked if he wanted to do dr*gs with him (probably what got the friend in jail in the first place). It's like he's not hurt simply because his friend went down that path, he's hurt because the friend got a second chance and still chose to go down the same path.

Lady Wellflower

I can totally picture everyone being creeped out by “Honsool.” It has such a drowning-in-oneself/self-medicating vibe that is borderline concerning, and it’s amazing that Yoongi is self-aware enough & willing to be vulnerable enough to express that to all of us through his music. I love what Adam said about the production sounding like drunkenness. I also think it’s sounds like that buzz when you come in from a day of overwhelming loudness and overstimulation, but then the silence is also too loud just by virtue of the contrast...so he’s drinking to numb that sensation in addition to the loneliness. It makes me sad to think about though, since he’s mentioned before that he doesn’t really have friends outside the boys and work. So when he’s alone on tour he’s really alone.

Saya J

I think Blaze summed it up perfectly: “He opened up the doors to his home and said ‘come in’.” That’s exactly how the mixtape makes me feel too. You guys were the first reaction and lyrical interpretation I wanted to watch as soon as the album came out! You’re always so thoughtful when talking about the different sides of the music, whether lyrics inform the production or vice-versa, etc. Thank you for taking the time to film this for us. I think I’ll go start your AHL reactions now. You guys can be the BTS friends I wish I had to watch stuff with irl haha. P.S. I cannot deal with Adam flapping his imaginary wings during “Honsool.”😂 Y’all are silly and the best💜 Love ya!

Saya J

I love love your reactions....💜💜....he really poures his heart out into this mix tape and we appreciate it a whole lot...listening to it gets me so emotional...people is literally my soul music right now..I love all of them so much

mammalay

Work has been overwhelming and idky bt bodys been extra tired than usual that i just fell asleep once i reached home.. so its only nw im abt to watch all the reactions n catching up 😭😭😭😭 im late hhh bt thank you always fr ur videos ❤

Nash

He put his heart into this mixtape. he always talks about deep subjects but this mixtape hit me hard for some reason. I don't know if quarantine is getting to him but he was definitely in his feelings. I can relate to a lot of the songs especially honsool. within myself ive dealt with a lot of depression and anxiety and i use to drink to cope with everyday life and i can just feel yoongis energy. I will have to say that if i have to choose one of my favorite songs now that ive listened to this mixtape on repeat every day is Burn it.

ElementalZelika

YESSS! Come on!!! 🤓💪🏼

WhatchaGot2Say

So, (putting on my best Blaze impression) First of all, loved your video! No surprise there!! But seriously, I was excited when I got the notification but couldn't watch until now! It is amazing and heartwarming to see you guys getting the feeling behind each song. You many be baby ARMY but you definitely have a good understanding of BTS and what they stand for. Just adding some things which Yoongi said in his live about the album. Daechwita and set me free were the songs added last. Daechwita was submitted with UGH! for MOTS:7, and the interlude was supposed to be an instrumental. Honsool was written when he was on tour. He have trouble sleeping bcoz of the time difference and drinks to try and get some sleep. That day he had drinks and just wrote what he felt in that stage. He also said that the rest of the boys and staff felt "creeped out" while listening to the song, and that was exactly his intention so it made Yoongi happy! About strange, he said the song is more of a question than an answer or statement. He wants the listeners to answer it for ourselves. Also, RM had a slightly different perspective on the things being talked and so Yoongi just said RM to write his verse as he liked. He said he wasn't sure if he should go with the set me free, but finally decided to just do it. (Thankfully!!) Also the og lyrics of what do you think was much more "strong" and BH told him to soften it a couple times. He also mentioned that the rage he had before is no more in him. So this fits better. Plus, since initially Daechwita wasn't included, what do you think and burn it was gonna get MVs. He had decided to give an American the burn it lines, but hadn't decided at the time. And he is really happy to have collabed with Max. Max worked really hard sending Yoon many versions. He has also learned thd Korean lyrics of the chorus for the acoustic version, which is in yt. It's really good! For the ending of dear my friend (the part where Nico mentioned, just take me to church!), the singer wasn't sure to go that high, but Yoon insisted and that's how it happened. Also he had decided beforehand that Dear my friend would be the last song no matter the songs in the mixtape. He said he had real fun making and filming the MV. Oh, and the army thing is about their enlistment. SK has a system that all able bodied men are duty bound to serve for a period of time. And there is this one reporter who keeps pestering them, esp Jin. on when they will enlist (since he is the oldest). It's an example of how people just bring up BTS name for clout. Like you guys pointed out, he is calling out the clout chasers for piggybacking on their success. Also, he insisted right from the start that he wouldn't explain or analyse the lyrics. I believe one reason is these are really personal for him. Also he wants us to think through for ourselves and get to a conclusion. That is what true art is about, right? Especially Yoon is an introvert and this, his music, is the most powerful and true way he expresses his thoughts to the world. It was a 2 hour vlive. You could check it out, it's titled D-2. Get some snacks and water and sit down. Tissues too, esp if Mika is watching. So this turned out real long. 🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️ Just, I love you guys, and look forward to a long journey with this family. 💜

Jiya

I haven't even clicked play yet and i know this is gonna be dope, come on!

ElementalZelika

It’s always fun to share this time with you guys. Suga definitely went all in with each song, I’m a proud army. I was worried when you skipped “what do you think”. I was so relieved when it popped up at the end. 💜 Hope all is well with you guys!

Cherie St Pierre

He legit be so excited he can’t even talk lol 😂 🤓

WhatchaGot2Say

We hear you FAM and no apologies necessary. We fully believe in freedom of speech and expression so like the song says “EXPRESS YOSELF” 😆 Thank you for vibin with us FAM and for taking the time to hear what we had to say about D-2 🤓💜

WhatchaGot2Say

Thank you for being here with us Kiwi 🤓💜💜💜🙏🏼

WhatchaGot2Say

This is all I have ever wanted and all that I’ve ever wanted this channel to be for myself and everyone that comes in contact with it. They say your vibe attracts your tribe and I am in full thankfulness that we have each other in this crazy world. It makes days bright for sure. For us it’s really about BTS - the music, the mission, the all. I think we each got to a point where we got tired of being boxed in musically and creatively and BTS has provided us with the stamp of approval that it’s okay to just be us...no strings attached. This is why we’ve fallen heavy for them...well that and the amazing music, dancing, attitude s, personalities that we can so relate to, and they styles are on point...like for real who dresses this clean these days!??? Ok ok now I’m fanboying but we appreciate you to the fullest Alycia 🤓 💯 💜💜💜

WhatchaGot2Say

So glad you enjoyed vibin with us! Yes, courage is the perfect way to describe Yoongi’s willingness to go so deep with us. It’s not easy to put yourself out there like that. Just think about how hard it is for most of us to open up...Can you imagine opening up on such a grand scale?! Powerful and appreciated fully. I’m feeling People heavy as well right now. But some days it’s other songs like Strange and Honsool. Whole album is complete 🤓💜

WhatchaGot2Say

when blaze wants to stop the video: "BRO... BRO..." *FLAPS HAND TOWARDS THE TV* "BRO.."

_blossoMIN

Lol that guilt was eating at him. I was wondering why he was being so quiet during that song 🤔 then he confessed and I was like ahhhhhh! He’s a good guy. He just gave into the temptation to take a peek lol

WhatchaGot2Say

What up FAM 👋🏼🤓 Yeah my favorite is People with Strange coming in a close second. We had filmed this before the What Do You Think controversy. When the issue hit I was thinking...oh the Fam gonna think we skipped that one because it was out of order in the playlist lol. But never fear my people...I will never and I mean NEVER allow the world’s chaos to become my reality. Yoongi didn’t do anything wrong and freedom of expression still exists in my world. LOVE 💜

WhatchaGot2Say

Go for it FAM! “Our Dreams are the Seedlings of Reality” And yeah I’m going to have to look up Zaty because I’m hearing about this channel more and more now 🤓

WhatchaGot2Say

Definitely our pleasure! Being able to share this experience with you is the reason we turn the camera on. If no one was interested we would still be doing this...just minus the camera so THANK YOU for genuinely wanting to be part of our lives and allowing us into yours 🤓💜

WhatchaGot2Say

Lol hope you enjoyed rocking with us FAM 🤓

WhatchaGot2Say

It’s okay FAM. We’ve checked out lyrics from other sources since the time of shooting this video so it’s all good. I appreciate you guys fighting for us and making sure we know where to find the most accurate lyrics. I’ll make a note of Zaty Farhani to look up on YouTube next time 🤓

WhatchaGot2Say

Makes us so happy that you enjoyed sharing this moment with us! This is what it’s all about for us....to be able to experience great music through BTS then to be able to share our experience with all of you. For it to actually provide a value to you is just icing on the cake. We love this to life 🤓🙌🏼💜💜💜

WhatchaGot2Say

Thank you so much for this reaction! I really love the way you guys experience every song. It's like I went on a journey with you and rediscovered the album all over again. Also, the fact that you actually read the lyrics and try to understand them and give them your own interpretation is one of the things that keeps me coming back. Also, the words of wisdom that you guys give us are such a comfort. I say this about BTS all the time and very few people besides them, but it's nice to discover genuinely nice, decent and open minded people like you out there. This and your honesty is why I absolutely love your channel. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face with your videos and for giving our boys a chance! Stay safe and happy guys! 💜😊

Alis

Lol for real 🤣🤓

WhatchaGot2Say

LOL. When Blaze starts off with "First of all" I know shits about to get real, Love you guys!

Maggie

Right? My heart was literally in pain watching them get such inaccurate lyrics. 😫😫

Lizzie

Thank y'all for always giving genuine reactions and so much honesty. This album hit me in so many different ways, I jam hard to it and then it will also get my in my feels. Yoongi letting us into his thoughts and feelings through Agust D is the greatest thing ever...and y'all letting us see how you truly feel about every song is the greatest thing too. Honestly his song Dear my Friend hits me deep and to see y'all hear it and not just hear it, but truly listen and hear the things he is saying makes me not feel as alone. Then Hansool and Set me Free hit in a different way...damn(sorry for the language fam) those hit me hard too, y'all actually feel the emotions and the words he is saying and that is the greatest thing I could ask for in reactors!! Thank y'all so much for being real MVPs! So much love to all of y'all and I hope y'all all are staying safe! Also BRUH...the wisdom that comes out of y'all's mouths especially Blaze...I love it and it makes me want more from myself...Thank y'all!💜💜

Adrianne C Cowher

Loved this. I love everything song on the album, but my favs are people and what do you think. Overall I just love how Agust D just lays out his real emotions, his deep philosophical thoughts and his real experiences into his songs. So much honesty and depth in addition to sounding wonderful.

Julia Green

Thank you so much for this video! I can honestly say... your channel is the only channel that every time you post something I know I’m going to love it 💜 Thank y’all for loving and respecting BTS so much 💜 Spending time with you guys through your videos always greatly improves my day so thank you for being you! Love y’all 💜💜

Kiwi Mosier

As expected, this reaction vid was on fire!!! I loved you reactions and insights about the songs and the whole album itself. My personal faves are People, Dear my Friend, Set me Free and Daechwita. According to Suga, he listens to People often these days but I think Dear my Friend is more special to him since this is about his friend who tried to influence him in a bad way before when they were together. He even asked him to try drugs. Good thing Suga refused. If not, he wont be with us today and we wont be blessed with this album. Agust D has NO RESERVATIONS when he created this mixtape. All out! All out! 👌🏻👏🏻💜

Iris

THIS 100%! 👆👆

Lexyoongi

Love love love it! I love that he’s always so honest and gives us so many pieces of himself for free; I can’t imagine how much courage that must take! I know that he said before that he would sometimes have a drink because the time zone changes when they were on tour were too much for him and he couldn’t sleep but then he would feel worse the next day so he’s trying to limit it but I love the way AJJ described the feeling of that song! You guys nailed the nuances of each song and I’d like to think that he’d be proud that his message was conveyed and understood so well. I get so excited when I watch your reactions and you guys always seem to articulate exactly what I’m feeling! His songs are so relevant and relatable and you can tell that he’s very self aware and in tune with his surroundings and what’s going on in the world. Dear, my friend made me tear up a little bit when I finally read the lyrics, that’s such a personal thing to speak about and I applaud him for his candor. Your guys’ reactions are my favorite, thank you for taking the time to do this! It’s hard to pick a favorite song because they’re all a masterpiece (like currently I’m in “People” mode), but I guess it depends on your mood and he has so many different choices depending on if you want to get hype or if you want to chill 🙌 Big hugs to the wonderful WhatchaGot2Say fam!

Lexyoongi

This was wonderful! A top notch watch. I really appreciate the WhatchaGot2Say fam for being both authentic as people and authentic ARMY. You have a keen eye for creatives and truly appreciate the crafts and message behind it all. There definitely are some out there just chasing the boys for clout, and someone who just genuinely loves them can always see it... I really appreciated Blaze speakin on it though he kept it humble too lol! It's hard for me to watch a lot of reactors but you guys have always have kept it 1000%. I see where you respect the boys and their messages and openly find value in their truths and wisdom, bring it to attention and more importantly, I can sense how you've integrated that love into your own lives and tried to apply the lessons we find with such an amazing group. BTS has helped me so much, and I see where it's helping you and it genuinely makes me happy. With the love you guys show for them, it's so easy to see where BTS has made it's way into your life and will be there for the future to come. Thank you for being here with us! Thank you keeping it real and spreading positivity in the face of it all. I appreciate all the content- I am well fed and content <3

Aly Lynn

I have my own family and I think that's why I struggle with my dreams because having kids I feel like my time for that may be over.... And I only found bts earlier this year and they have given me inspiration in going back to my writing and putting it out there for people to see.

AJ

I won’t be able to watch yet but I’m excited!

Saya J

I feel the same. I’m also 36, I struggle with not having the family I wish I had, not having a support system, should I even continue to dream about having that one day, should I still be working toward my careers goals or just give up and settle with having a decent job.

Shalyn M

I totally changed my direction in life after finding BTS 5 years ago & went back to school at 45 to become an esthetician, which I'd always been interested in but was pressured to have a pretty basic life since a high school. You're never too old to dream, life is about finding yourself & there's no time limit on that.

viperine

36 is still young fam!

m

Me loving when Blaze comes clean after Strange.

Christina

I loved the reaction as usual, my heart dropped when I thought you skipped What Do You Think because of what happened online, but I'm happy you listened to the full album. In Moonlight he actually used a line he did in Nevermind, "If you feel like you’re going to crash then accelerate more, you idiot". In What Do You Think I was glad he addressed the enlistment saying "Woo woo, we’ll be sure to go to the military when it’s time, so". In People it's already mentioned the correct lyrics are between "Your ordinary became my special Your special became my ordinary My ordinary became your special My special became your ordinary". And Honsool means "to drink alone". He wrote Set Me Free 2 weeks before the mixtape dropped. My favourite I think is between People and Dear My Friend. Nice going gang gang gang. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Karla24.wintaebear

The song 28 hits me differently because I'll be 28 in a few months and I'm still chasing my dream by going back to uni and getting my degree. My whole family has been waiting for me to just go to work and get a mediocre paycheck to get by in life but I want more than that kind of life. Yoongi's whole album is a masterpiece and I'm so thankful for each song and for Adora's bg vocals 😭 Please read lyrics from Zaty Farhani next time because Lemoring and jaegucci rush to get lyrics out as a competition and don't actually translate correctly.

Alishea Ally

Omg at last!!! Yey my day off's gonna be complete with this vid. It's more than an hour so lemme take some snacks with me. 😁 cant wait to see it! 💜 thanks for listening to our requests, Nico, Blaze and AJJ. You guys are the best!

Iris

I was waiting for this! Thank you so much for doing this. Interesting to hear what you think about each track! 💜

Abi Cruz

1 hour! Let me get some pop corn!!

Vie En Rose’

I have checked out a few of the lyric videos on my own a few days ago but not all of them. I had to stop and make a comment during the song 28 (since you guys reacting to it is my first time checking out the lyrics for it)... that just hit hard for me. This year in particular I have been struggling with should I have dreams still, am I too old for this? Should I be even bothering working on writing and music anymore. (I'm 36 now and something about hitting this age just made me wonder about being too old for the first time in my life). But without my dreams where does that leave me? I don't know.

AJ

It hurts me to see you guys reacting to “people” and feeling it so much but that translation video you’re watching is all wrong 😂😂 The “special” and “mediocrity” part was entirely incorrect, as was the rest of that vid. I suggest searching for the accurate lyrics when you can 😆. (Lemoring is one of the worst lyric video channel. You should avoid their videos from now on.) Here’s the real lyric translation of that part Your ordinary became my special Your special became my ordinary My ordinary became your special My special became your ordinary Yoongi is saying that because of fame, what’s special to others is ordinary to him and what’s ordinary to others is special to him! Pretty sad when you think about it 😔. Nonetheless another great video! I always look forward to your reactions! Please react to “So Far Away”! It’s my favorite track from Agust D’s first mixtape and I really think you guys will enjoy the lyrics there a lot too!

Bae

I don't if you watched his interview on Bangtan TV but if you haven't I pray you react to that. Thanks for the reaction 💜💜

Amlyse Lyseam⁷ OT7

YAY! I’m chillin on my deck watching it now. 💜😎

Jeanene

That’s how do Korean albums too. Gotta listen a few times, just appreciate the music, then look at lyrics

Laura Moore

YES!!! Could you guys also react to BTS's Satoori Rap (Paldogangsan) as well as the 'Being Explained by a Korean' for it. I think you guys would find it really interesting.

alexistheperson

Yesssss... I was so waiting for this!! Sending love and support from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷

Kim Yary

How many of yall also put your arms out like a hug? No? Just me?

D'Alice Craig

Yay! Was so excited for this. Pretty please for future reference use Zaty Farhani lyric videos. They have actual translators rather than just taking lyrics from online so the translations are much better. Unfortunately these were quite inaccurate.

essi

YES. super excited!

Kathy Nguyen

Yay so excited
