This episode hits me hard! Especially now! I moved out of my parents house! So my siblings don't see me much anymore. I visit whenever I can. But they moved to Indiana 4 hours away. So when I get to see them, my siblings (I have 4 younger siblings) voice the opinions they have of me. They used to look up to me until I turned 16 or something. Now they see me as lazy and disobedient, because of the arguments I tend to get into with my mom. I am so feeling Big Mac dilemma, probably to a greater extreme, honestly. And it feels like no matter what I do my siblings still see me as lazy. Hope that makes sense. Also, I have a younger sibling that often shines brighter, or does cooler stuff. Actually, 3. My first younger sister (20 years old) is really good at piano. She listens to a song and can play it back by ear after a couple tries. My first younger brother (18 years old) is quiet and obedient. He's the middle child. My parents are more lenient on him. But that's because he's quiet and does what he's told. My second younger brother (15 years old) is a computer wizz. He is doing stuff with editing that I can't even imagine how to do. He hooks up his electronics to his other electronics and does stuff with them I didn't think possible. All 3 of them are on the high functioning spectrum. Their social skills and self care skills are not great. The only one who could possibly live on his own in the future would be the 18 year old. But it's still hard for me because until my 15 year old brother showed promise in electronics, I was the electronic wizz. Then he surpassed me. For my 20 year old sister, I started piano lessons soon after her. I caught up with her really quickly but couldn't teach myself to play by ear like her. Eventually she pulled ahead of me again when I couldn't get timing right. (I feel like I'd be better at drums, I'm good at keeping the beat. It's weird. I can do timing when I'm following drumbeats, but not piano) and I'll never be able to just flop over and do exactly what my parents want me to like my 18 year old brother. And then to add on top of all that, my youngest sister (13 years old) is the one constantly pointing out how she now sees me as lazy and disobedient. So, it hurts. IDK. This one make me cry.
