Invincible FULL Reaction 2x8 - "I Thought You Were Stronger"
Added 2024-04-29 22:53:49 +0000 UTCJeeeeez. What a finale. Very hard-hitting and emotionally exhausting, just like Invincible ought to be. I actually cried during the aftermatch of the fight with Angstrom. Even though I didn't like him, and even after all of the incredible shocks he gave us throughout this fight, it was extremely difficult to see Mark deal with the consequences of killing someone else. And we are both worried for where his character is going to be going forward. Thank goodness Debbie is alright so that she can guide him.
Overall, we really enjoyed this season! Invincible still has a very fun, lively, and then suddenly dark and brutal tone that lends itself well to the gorey superhero genre it lives in. But, we also both agreed that season one might've been the more fun ride, especially with all the fake-outs after the finale. It makes this season feel largely inconsequential and random, even if it was still extremely great television. We enjoyed it a great deal- don't get us wrong...but we might've liked season one more.
