A crisis emerges

Car crash on Christmas day, thankfully no one hurt and my car only has a flat in terms of damage. Now before the year ends, I'm informed that my lady in love is unable to afford rent for January unless she gets a new job within the next two weeks.
I'm here to try and ensure that we will both be covered. I HATE asking for money, but at this point, were approaching a crisis and I need to act. So here I am, asking for charity from many places I love to spend my time at. Rent due for the end of January is 625$ Canadian (aprox 487 American) so I am hoping to raise support up enough to cover it.
I'm not going to ask for charity for nothing. I had originally intended to offer the beta of my novel to every new 5$ tier that signed up in the month of January. I'm now extending that to every tier. I hate asking for money like this as it makes me feel dirty and greedy. I want to entertain you all first and earn my wages, not have to ask for the money first and than hope you enjoy my stuff after. However, here I am. I need to take care of myself and my own first, otherwise how could I entertain you all if I can't look after myself right?
