The fact is that since February 2025, payment for a subscription via Apple Pay has been subject to an additional fee.
Judging by what is written in the FAQ, this commission is an additional 45% of the subscription cost. That is, if a person buys a subscription for $10 through the web version of the site or through the application on Android, he pays the same $10, but for a person who uses the application on IOS, he pays $14.5 for the same subscription. also for me this has negative aspects - I can get this money only 75 days after payment (apple allegedly conducts checks on these transactions, etc.)
So if you have a choice to pay through the web version of the site and the iOS application with Apple Pay, then I advise you to pay for the subscription through the web version. Personally, I get the same amount of money for this after deducting the site's commission. But for you, paying through Apple Pay will be almost one and a half times more expensive. And people who do not know about this innovation are expressing negativity towards me.
