Father Ted - S2 E5 - A Song for Europe
Added 2025-04-17 13:00:18 +0000 UTCI wonder which one of them is worse! Haha, two absolute messes for very different reasons! Also glad the lady (still can't remember her name) is getting more lines.... she is a hoot!

Hey… haha. Kitana running into a window. I know I’m late on this one, but, it’s always fun. “They’re literally just chilling. man.” You know what, my dad’s name was Richard (Dick)… Dick Johnson. My brother and his friends had a band, ‘Dick Johnson and the Redundant’s.’ Haha…

2025-04-18 17:05:33 +0000 UTCNothing to do with this reaction, just wanted to say that my phone's autocorrect has made me look mental three times in two days by correcting "Documentaries" to "Cucumbers".

2025-04-18 09:23:05 +0000 UTC'My Lovely Horse' became a running bit at a lot of live music shows for a while in the UK and Ireland. Up until the early 2010s even. The Divine Comedy (who performed it in the dream) still do it on encore calls. They never had the guts to put it into Eurovision for real though.

2025-04-18 05:43:37 +0000 UTCYou need at least 3 of anything to claim it's a collection. One, you've got one. Two, you've got a pair. Three, you have some :)

2025-04-17 23:39:23 +0000 UTCYeah, well ponies aren't baby horses anyway. A baby horse is called a foal not a pony. A pony is a different animal. A baby pony is also called a foal. Someone had to say it.

2025-04-17 21:17:56 +0000 UTCDon't forget, a collection can be any number of objects or people... Have you started your people collection yet?

2025-04-17 21:09:02 +0000 UTCOh, it's possible to get zero points - we've had that a few times! For some reason, we always seem to enter terrible acts! Wil Ferrell has done a comedy film about Eurovision - maybe a candidate for a reaction?

2025-04-17 18:33:12 +0000 UTCTed lives on Craggy Island, Dick Byrne lives on Rugged Island. Your Kitana story reminded me of this video: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1331386077250439

2025-04-17 18:00:47 +0000 UTCYou have enough context. Don’t worry about rules or points. There are a few dozen countries enter, each country votes for their top 10 songs but can’t vote for themselves, then they add up the points.

2025-04-17 17:36:38 +0000 UTCIf you want to do a Eurovision reaction this would be a good one https://youtu.be/fkmBTyyEVrQ?si=bgVaWshva-rBxn9U It shows some of the weirdest entries. You won’t believe it’s real life and not an episode of Father Ted.

2025-04-17 17:25:44 +0000 UTCThe UK entry to Eurovision got zero points from anyone in 2021 and 2024 😁 sometimes I think our entries are intended to be sarcastic.

2025-04-17 15:23:33 +0000 UTCI think a collection is defined by intent to add to it You have pair of striped socks and you intend to get another pair at a different time then you could say you collect them because when you start a collection most start with 1 item

2025-04-17 14:19:38 +0000 UTCHey Mandy, I don't know if you know this — I can't watch it yet — but the song 'My Lovely Horse' was written by the same guy who wrote the theme tune. His name is Neil Hannon, and he performs under the name 'The Divine Comedy'. My Lovely Horse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Que-p9vDWo (Songs of Love) Father Ted theme original version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k64RlXzecPU As always, thank you, Mandy. 🤗🤗

2025-04-17 13:02:35 +0000 UTC🥇 Nailed it. I like a Suey, but more of a Chow Mein man myself 😂. I know what you mean when a pet runs into a glass window. Our pups learnt that the hard way 😂 We laughed as well. Never watched Eurovision. I'm sorry I couldn't get most of the references. It was funny watching Father Ted go mental tho.
