Taskmaster - S9 E9 - Don't Like Them Go Bang.

Comments

At least you tried, Gary.

Jeffrey44

My energy drink of choice is Tescos Blue Spark sugar free energy drink, 1 litre for only 90p ๐Ÿคฃ It's like the special brew of energy drinks - gets me thru some slow days at the office. Hahaha, will have to look out for that Inbetweeners episode, thanks for the heads up!

๐–ฆ๐–บ๐—‹๐—’ ๐–ฌ๐—ˆ๐—‹๐—€๐–บ๐—‡

Don't be drinking energy drinks and popping pro plus. You will understand when you get to a certain Inbetweeners episode ๐Ÿ˜†

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

only 5 hours of taskmaster reaction footage to go! yeah that'll take me til dawn ๐Ÿ˜†

๐–ฆ๐–บ๐—‹๐—’ ๐–ฌ๐—ˆ๐—‹๐—€๐–บ๐—‡

If you stay up all night you will be caught up by tomorrow lmao.

Tom Prude could eat no Y, His wife could eat no head. And so between them both, you see, They just bumped dirties instead. Am I getting it right? ๐Ÿ˜‡

All 3 are playing exaggerated versions of themselves for comedic effect. Karl knows his role in the group, as do Steve and Ricky. At the end of the day, it's a performance and shouldn't be taken completely at face value.

trev

Lmao! I still don't know. A friend told me his took months to appear on the website ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

Mandy Cane Lane

I think he handled his rage well ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahahhaa, sorry! Will do ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿซฃ

Mandy Cane Lane

Jeffrey44, would eat meat cooked, his wife would serve it raw. He picked the platter up, you see. And knocked her to the floor. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿค” hmm, too violent?

Stevus

Yes, Miss Mandy, we are vaguely familiar with the men you associate with, and by your own accounts, they may not be the finest specimens around๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I also may not be of the finest calibre, but I ain't catchin' me no man flu thankyou very much. Haven't been sick in years, and never been that bad when I had.

Stevus

Yeah I've heard that before and also that is a very good point. Of course I don't believe such nonsense, I'm just messing safe in the knowledge I'm thousands of miles away and won't face Mandys wrath ๐Ÿค—

Josh Read

That's awesome Stevus. I love this job. I've been where I work now for 4 years buy been a support worker all my working life, but ive always beem around it. My grandparents where psychiatric nurses and my mum was a teacher at a school for boys with autism. I've worked with young children all the way up to elderly people near the end of life. So many amazing stories to tell as well. Also some not very good ones too ๐Ÿ˜• but they are few and far between.

Josh Read

Don't know if you've found out how much you're fine is, but my prediction is... 3.6million. Which would be a shame because you could have bought a piece of dodgy sushi for that!

Stevus Minimus

I've tried that. Doesn't work๐Ÿ˜†

Stevus

I used to work for the state government here as a youth support worker in residential care for wards of the state. That was great at times, and I'd often think, am I really getting paid to do this? as I spend the afternoon playing Halo with a kid with foetal alcohol syndrome. But, the kids I cared for were no doubt very different to the people you deal with. I have a few crazy stories. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Stevus

There is an old saying that you've probably heard before, Josh, that you should never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes. But why? Good question I'm imagining you're asking. You should never criticise a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes because then you're a mile away from him and you have his shoes.๐Ÿ˜†

Stevus

There is no need to thank me, Josh. I enjoyed composing it. Do you want to try to write a forth verse? It's not as easy as it seems but it is a lot of fun.

Jeffrey44

๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฅน Ive been on meds fir over a year and just feel tired constantly ๐Ÿ˜‚ ano I need more help tbh and I will at some point ๐Ÿ˜… not that arsed about finding love again tbh but I know if things worked out with Paige which they should have then I know how amazing my life would be ๐Ÿ˜

Joshyboiiiiii

Wait wait I see my name wtf is going on??

Joshyboiiiiii

Old best friend? Should reach out to them

Joshyboiiiiii

My second favourite live task ever, Ed was so mad ๐Ÿคฃ

Michael Harrop

I should have mentioned that a second infection is not always more serious, but it is a common effect. I did read a couple of days ago (which is why Dengue was already in my mind when you mentioned it) that Brazil is going to be producing one of the vaccines locally as they have had bad outbreaks in the last few years (and with climate change, it will probably get worse over time) so that may help availability in S. America generally.

BobSandwiches

But possibly a dream also... ;-) ๐Ÿ˜‰

BobSandwiches

Women don't know how good they have it. They should walk a mile in a man's shoes. Then they can stop being so bossy to us ๐Ÿ˜Š

Josh Read

It's just something I have been working on. The first verse isn't mine. It's a traditional poem. The second two verses are all my own work though.

Jeffrey44

Check your mail ๐Ÿ‘€

Danny

Hahahha, will do Benji ๐Ÿซก๐Ÿคฃ

Mandy Cane Lane

It's an outtake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f72vUFfEl4M

DS292

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA! That is hilarious!

Mandy Cane Lane

Oh wow! Is that when that started? Time really does fly!

Mandy Cane Lane

๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’š What sweet guys ๐Ÿ˜Š

Mandy Cane Lane

This enfuriated me having lived all my life around and with men and knowing this has been 100% true in all my experiences. xD

Mandy Cane Lane

Well, Ed brought up his own hairyness when making his prize about waxing his chest. I don't believe I have broughten up my hairyness in this video or anything which could link to the topic

Mandy Cane Lane

Ummm... no idea. Maybe you are thinking of an outtake? Or a dream perhaps...

Mandy Cane Lane

Ohh! Love to know that the next one is a good one though! Also proud of you for learning from your mistakes =p

Mandy Cane Lane

LMAO! Leave it to me to ask the real questions though xD

Mandy Cane Lane

LMAO! I remember him now! xD

Mandy Cane Lane

YES! Those thingies! Never knew they were called that, thank you. But if it were me I would have only taken one of Newton's Cradle's balls xD

Mandy Cane Lane

HAHAHA! That sounds very possible. Thank you xD

Mandy Cane Lane

Hi Trev! You are lucky I remember what you are referencing! Hahah, yes I know, but I do believe he often thinks he is smarter than he really is. Also was just an example of his type of behaviour towards Karl sometimes! xD

Mandy Cane Lane

Very informative Bob, thank you. Let's just hope I never get it and my bestie doesn't get it a second time.

Mandy Cane Lane

Go to bed!!! I'll get round to watching it today. I'm just off to work.

Benjamin Taylor-Yates

Ummm.... what?

Mandy Cane Lane

Honestly? I am the happiest I have ever beennow, but if I had to go back, being 12 again with my old best friend was pretty fun. I basically lived at her house and we lived off of burnt rice, hot dogs and MTV

Mandy Cane Lane

Also the Channel 4 years. Channel 4 episodes are very slightly longer.

Jeffrey44

I have corrected my comment based on your observation.

Jeffrey44

๐Ÿคญ

Mandy Cane Lane

For the prize task I thought you was going to bring out your smooth elbows ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

AWR93

We are so close to series 10! Woohoo! The Covid years!

Mike M

Can 'hairy' be a verb?๐Ÿค”

Stevus

What the?... and I thought I wrote some weird shit. Well done mr44๐Ÿ˜†

Stevus

You will meet someone else and fall in love again when you least expect it. There are numbers for organisations that can help you get through mental health problems.im a mental health first aider at work and can give you numbers to call if you like? Never be afraid to reach out and request help.

Josh Read

Thank you very much ๐Ÿ˜Š I remember getting people ready on time for their taxis ๐Ÿคฃ

Josh Read

It sounds like it๐Ÿ˜„. I have never done that kind of work, but in my job, I deal with kids with learning difficulties. We have contracts from Bolton Council. Nothing full time like you, just a few hours a week doing school runs and things like that. That's about as much as I can handle, fair play to you. You're one of the good ones.๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿป

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

I realise I misworded my question but it still works ๐Ÿ˜‚ I guess I'd go back to February 2021 when I fell in love and I'd make sure when we got together she doesn't dump me 6 months afterwards ๐Ÿ˜‚ orrrrr go back to year 11 before the the mental problems hit in college, genuinely think year 11 was my favourite 9 months of my life and I dunno why, it was just fun

Joshyboiiiiii

Oh Jeffrey I had to read that 5 times and now I have a headache ๐Ÿ˜‚ I guess going back knowing what happens

Joshyboiiiiii

I would go back to my late teens and early 20s like Tee Tee. Very good care free times enjoying life and exploring the world

Josh Read

Yeah very much so lol but it's such a great job I don't mind. I'm a support worker for two gents with learning disabilities today we went to the pub for lunch played some board games and had a pizza and watched a dvd not a bad way to earn a living ๐Ÿ˜€

Josh Read

Certainly sounds like he's a good mate to have. Hopefully they will be OK ๐Ÿ‘

Josh Read

Does your job have you working funny hours Josh?

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

Hi Josh, I'm good thanks for asking. I've got my eye on a couple of cars. Just waiting for my mate to return from his trip on the weekend. He is a mechanic. So he can give them a good look over for me. Also, he is the Bolton equivalent of Del Boy. If anyone can get a deal, it's him.๐Ÿ˜‚

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

This certainly was a nice way to relax after work ๐Ÿ˜„ only one episode to go before you start another taskmaster adventure

Josh Read

It certainly is a good series ๐Ÿ˜Š How's you? Have you managed to sort out your car?

Josh Read

Dengue is bad but never under estimate the Man Cold ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbmbMSrsZVQ

Tee Tee

When I was 16-20 years old. Great times.

Tee Tee

Huh? What?

Jeffrey44

Was it right for you to try to guess whether Ed Gamble was going to be hairy? Should we try to guess if you are going to be hairy in future videos?

Jeffrey44

I've seen this episode before and I'm pretty sure the last time I saw it, Rose Matafeo removed her bra but this time no one removed anyone's bra. Is this an example of the Mandela effect?

Jeffrey44

Hi Mandy, great reaction. Well, next week is the last one of season 9. I couldn't resist and had to look at who was on Season 10. I made sure not to spoil it for myself again๐Ÿ˜ . I would never say in the comments who's on, I know you like to find out as you watch, but I'm very happy with the lineup. So, don't fret when you react to the finale of this season, the next one should be another cracker. As always, thank you for the video.๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—

๐‘ญ๐’†๐’Š๐’”๐’•๐’š ๐‘บ๐’•๐’†๐’—๐’†

"why was there a suicidal cat in the pixel tree" is strangely poetic and I don't know why, maybe it was the way you said it. lol

JokerDanny

The random cat in the pixel tree represents Tataโ€™s from series 2 remember? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Jon Richardson pelted him with tennis balls and Richard Osmond just left him up there to die ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Jonathan Davies

The prize idea you're thinking of is a Newton's cradle. Kerry Godliman brought one in S7E1, but didn't get a lot of points for it.

Robert Allen

As a office fan I assume you heard the urine as invisible ink thing from Dwight

OutlawStar

Ricky Gervais has a degree in philosophy from UCL, so I'm pretty sure he knows a few philosophers. His chat show persona was a character.

trev

Yeah, Dengue is very unusual in that a second infection can cause more damage than the first. Normally, your immune system learns from the first encounter with a virus and is better prepared to fight subsequent infections. But with Dengue, infection with a different strain (there are four) can cause the immune system to reuse the same antibodies as it made for the first infection which do not work as well with the different strains. This results in a weak immune response and hence a worse time of it. If you get reinfected with the same strain, you are fine as the old antibodies and T-cells will do a good job. There are two vaccines, but they are very new (only one is approved in the US so far) and need a doctor's prescription as the wrong vaccine at the wrong time can be dangerous. They give protection from all 4 strains at the same time so the immune system creates memory against all four. Hopefully they will become more available in the next few years.

BobSandwiches

Would I be current me watching historic me or would I be current me experiencing the part of my life as current me with everything I know now or would I be historic me experiencing the part of my life as if it was the first time?

Jeffrey44

Jack Sprat could eat no fat, His wife could eat no lean. And so between them both, you see, They licked the platter clean. Josh Sloan could eat no bone, His wife could eat no hair. And so between them both, you see, They licked the platter bare. Mandy Cane Lane could eat no brain, Her wife could eat no shite. And so between them both, you see, They licked the platter white.

Jeffrey44

Random question of the day. If you could go back in time and relive a part of your life what would it be?

Joshyboiiiiii
