Daily Update: Compensation!

Seeing as I have no proper means of prostration or the self-administration of justice, I'll do y'all one better and try to make up for it by spoiling a little bit of the story right here and now. I'll also post a little bit more for our $3+ patrons after I share this, but hopefully this will help slake a little of your content thirst in the interim betwixt videos:

A (somewhat surreal) excerpt from the un-edited rough draft of the forthcoming short story. Enjoy!
"The voice came from someplace high above. It filled the world like thunder and shook Vadim’s bones. He strained to see past the ink-stain clouds, into the gray slate of the sky. In the distance, he saw a single mountain rising slowly from the horizon, a dark knife to scrape the heavens. It seemed to turn toward him, and now it wasn’t a mountain at all, but a man, striding in earth-trembling steps over the miles between them..."
Hopefully that makes up for my grievous oversight last night. It was very early in the morning by the time I'd stopped writing for the evening, and I'd been pushing very hard to meet a deadline.
Thanks for being patient with us. This thing is progressing quite well, and I think it's bound to be one hell of a short story by the time it's done. I think it might also be quite long. So there's that.
