0.6 Development Update 13

Hey, folks!

The beta with Annie’s new dream event is now out. This dream is over, but it’s not completely done yet. Unfortunately I couldn’t get the commissioned voice work done in time, but it should be coming soon. For now, please enjoy this new addition to the scene in silence.

Blair is finally available in the love app, and her intim/lewd points are set depending on your choices in the earlier events.

Now, let’s turn to the future. There are three main areas that require attention. We have Naomi’s and Yona’s stories lagging behind, and the main story should be getting another push to enable new events for personal stories. And to get the actual story going, too, but who cares about that, right? Just kidding, it will get going. Lots of stuff is about to go down, in fact. Maybe not all at the same time, but still.

As for the girls’ stories, Naomi’s one really needs some love since she was the second girl to arrive, and yet her story is one of the shortest ones. Unfortunately her story still needs a lot of asset work and our workflow is still not fully recovered, although it’s getting better.

Right now we’re working on her crew. There’s basically no way to make a 10+ character scene with the tools we have right now (and yes, in-house group events are a huge pain), and for Naomi’s ship to feel alive it needs quite a bit more characters in there. After a bit of testing we decided to go with the simplified characters made in the same style. But we still need to actually make them, touch them up, rig them and make sure they behave.

Once this part of the work is done we can advance Naomi’s story considerably and get it to the point where it’s at least comparable to other girls’ stories. A few of her older events are in a dire need of a rework, but we try to do stuff like this in the background.

The list of events for v0.6.3 is not fully set in stone just yet, but there should be at least one main story event with a few scenes in it, an activity or two for Blair, and the scary stories event. I’m not happy with this last one just yet, so we have to move it to 0.6.3. There probably will be at least one new lewd event as well, but I’ll keep it under wraps for now.
