My friends, finishing the stowage took a few hours longer than expected because in the end I decided to repaint those 2 backpacks from last post πThey didn't have the right color (too yellowish) so it was better to just rework them completely rather than moving on.
Turns out Light Mud from Vallejo is almost perfect match for these US colors. I ended up painting every pack with it and then distinguishing them with glazes made from dark green and different browns.
It ain't perfect, not at all, but damn it was so satisfying. Now I can proceed with final weathering touches, and it seems like the model will be finished by the end of the weekend!
EDIT: One thing I tried was to outline all details with acrylic paint (fake shadow) instead of oil wash, like I did on the Panzer II with enamel washes. Reasoning behind it is because all real miniature painters do it like that π But it might not be for me... some of the outlines are quite rough and ruin the effect if you look at it from up close. So I'll rather stick with the "cheating" method using oil paints.
And last but not least, happy Easter!
