My friends, I think the base is ready for painting, but it doesn't mean everything is in place - here's the thing. I've pretty much come to a point where I don't know what to add first, more foliage or more random garbage 😆 Static grass is all in place (I zapped myself with the applicator, holy shit it packs a punch, I literally felt my heart go into overdrive for a beat or two), note how I made a gradient from one corner to the other, it's way less dense in the lower right corner where spent shells will be. I also started adding some laser cut plants here and there, but this is where I didn't know what's good enough and where should I add.
So I decided to focus on the fence (this is also the reason why there was no update yesterday - I spent the entire day just cutting, texturing and cleaning the planks), and here I decided to glue most of the planks to the ground. I think it'll be much easier to paint them this way. I still have a few left which I'll paint separately. Also, this is the LAST time I'm scratchbuilding a wooden fence, it's the most boring task ever! 🥱
So the current progress is like this. The groundwork is ready for painting, so I'll do some airbrushing, some enamel earth washes on the ground, some brush painting on the different plants and weeds, and we'll see what's the next step gonna be.
