🌐 Farstep Funday Friday 🌀

While there were still lots of repairs that extended through this week, I was able to put in a TON of hours. My time was energized by the prospect of giving you all a Funday Friday that was back to a return to the old form after the recent delays.

However, this was yet another week were Milovana is not allowing any image uploads:

Read about it here and here. These are the worst kind of bugs because even if the Admin checked in - they would give things a quick glance, see things are still online and go back to their busy lives.

This bug essentially prevents me from making any new brand new content in Milovana. Therefore I tried to pivot into spending my time crushing bugs harder and putting out as much Fall of Haven content as I could possibly muster in a week.

• 🏘️ NEW Village Area! After 3 weeks of work it's finally here! The bird "AI" alone took me hours to get them right. Sunk cost mentality in action!

  

• 🏡 NEW Player House! Our first fully functioning interior! You can enter it to your hearts desire Fiancé/Spouse not yet included...

• 🌀 NEW Town Portal Mechanic! How do you get to the home village you ask? Why by teleporting there! For anyone who plays Diablo, I pretty much tried to copy the same style. This definitely required some coding expertise well beyond my abilities due to having to save.

  • I haven't added this mechanic to the tutorial yet, the button will appear when you gain at least one holy shard. Spend it to open the portal back to save grounds.

  

• 💤 NEW Sleeping! To test my pixel art abilities again I made sleeping animations for both male and female. The base code is there for me to build the time system and a way to regain lost willpower.

• 🛁 NEW Bathing! Not all the art is here but I'm excited to continue building out the system and it's gameplay implications!

  

• Revised Holy footwear art! Perspective and detailed cleaned up for what I consider a better appearance that I'm excited about.

• Feet should hopefully not bug out of holy footwear any longer.

• Prevented weapon from firing when starting a level with no enemies around.

• Save states and loading further fixed to remember picture frames and details far better.

• Palm trees perspective fixed. (You shouldn't be halfway in them anymore)

• Several sounds adjusted like werewolf bite.

• Fixed a bug causing female to always have a flat chest - A terrible bug that should have never been allowed!

• Graves don't stop flight anymore.

• Holy armor should not permanently shine anymore.

• ⚠️ Unfortunately the town portal and save state changes have caused music to not play correctly and at the right time. I am hoping to hotfix this weekend but need coding help and am up far too late.

• 📚 Chapter III ending crash fixed with an early gameover.

• 📚 Chapter II and III endings and hints added.

• 📚 Chapter II added Anissa closet feet scene.

• Sly won't call you -1 anymore!

• Gabbie nap doesn't start now if you have yet to meet her.

• Lana stone can now be used along with the scenes.

• Slight adjustments to hints.

• 🏆 New Military Tier 2 Experience Reward moved from Gold!

• All Level 1 Tier 3 Experience rewards code has been reworked. This complete overhaul took plenty of time but I'm excited that it shouldn't crash for users anymore!

• 📚 Yet again Milovana didn't save my hour Chapter III Gabbie corruption crash work but it should be fixed now(for the third time...)

• Bugfixed more than 10 things that will likely cause previous saves to not work but fingers crossed!

• Changes to saves carrying over may break your old save but should prevent as many failures going forward with new saves.

• 🏆 NEW Tier 3 Hospital Experience Reward! The good news about Milovana this week is that it didn't run slowly at all from what I could tell so saving new code was WAY faster. This allowed me to make a triple experience reward week!

• 🏆 NEW Tier 3 Neon Nights Experience Reward!

• 🏆 NEW Tier 3 Stadium Experience Reward!

• Fixed a bug preventing Tier 2 Stadium Reward from showing.

• All Level 2, and 4 Tier 3 Experience rewards code has been reworked entirely to function far better.
