Fall of Haven March Update 😇

There are lots of changes and additions coming to FOH this Funday Friday and I wanted to give everyone a sample. After all this time we finally have a new location ready! It's smaller than the first but was for me to practice several new mechanics to shift from one location to the next.

The more I can finish core systems the more I can add pure content like new and bigger locations. I am currently expecting to have around 8 levels or so, all with different environments. (Both locations currently are probably less than 1/4 of the eventual level size) Making maps is still really slow for me but hopefully I will get far better and efficient! Construct 3 makes this process maddingly ludicrous but I'm happy to put in the time and effort if I can move forward.

The majority of my artists live in Brazil and they have been enduring some pretty extreme weather right now which delays things.

Though it won't be ready for another few weeks, we are finally solidifying our female main character sprite art! (as a reminder the current male character sprites and animations are placeholder and will be eventually replaced)

🎨 In other news, 85+ new pieces of standing character art are starting being commissioned.

  These usually trickle out a few at a time but as soon as they start arriving I can give a better time estimate for when I can implement them. I am also currently sitting on a lot of completed art from the last round that are waiting for other things to be finished before I can implement. (Things like the female main character, nudity, and breast expansion etc.)

🎶 I also started my search for someone to make the soundtrack. While I could go with 16bit chiptunes I am currently heavily leaning towards a more orchestral sound and am pricing that out. Normally this type of music costs 200 USD per minute of music but I will attempt to do more with less.

This is all just a snapshot of where I currently am. We have a LOOONNG way to go but I'm driven to make it happen. Hopefully you will all see what I know it can become with the amount of work and care I've shown I can put out for each and every one of you! See you all at tomorrow's Funday Friday!
