I forgot more of this film than I remembered. The Italian sequence was a bit drawn out, but the last two did them proud. I kept wondering how this would fare in today's critical climate. I do take issue with the "sodomy" segment. It was a misuse of the term. Looking forward to the review.

2023-06-27 02:44:00 +0000 UTCFor those too young to get the joke, there actually WAS a "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex*" book, that became one of the most decade-iconic bestsellers of the late-60's/early-70's: Talking about sex wasn't a thing back then, so Dr. David Reuben wrote a book-length FAQ encyclopedia answering every basic question from "What are breasts?" to "What is foot fetish?" And here, in the segments, we get a sample of the questions, and Woody Allen's own unique....answers. 🤔 (And as for the Italian segment, we're not SUPPOSED to translate it-- It's a parody on groovy Italian 60's foreign films, which everyone knew at the time, and we sort of understand what's happening from context, but Woody is obviously no sexy Italian Marcello Mastroianni in silk suits, sunglasses and Ferraris.)
