She only balded his girlfriend in an attempt to make Ross find her less attractive and only then she tells him how she feels. After, she even points out to him it’s either or (obviously). So it wasn’t informative as that’s a given, it’s one or the other. She is putting the idea that he can choose her, when otherwise, he may have seen that what he’s doing is wrong. She manipulated the entire situation (it’s just who she is). Some people identify with that 🤷♂️

2022-06-29 20:23:13 +0000 UTCIt's interesting. I started watching friends when I was a lot younger (maybe 11?) and back then I saw no issues with Ross and Rachel. I think that's partly due to me being young and unfamiliar with relationships, and partly due to the social landscape back then. Both me myself and society have come a long way and learned a lot, and now those characters are mostly just background noise for me while rewatching the series. I mostly just appreciate their comedic timing. So I understand your frustration Dillon. I can't imagine watching this for the first time while adult and with our current society and general morals. I would dislike them too! Especially in this one where Ross cheats on a girl, with whom Rachel manipulated and either way it still ends up toxic lol. Anyways, I don't want to tell you what to do, but I find just tuning them out a bit and focusing on the other characters (especially Monica for me since she's probably my favourite) leads to me just having a good time. And trust me, there are much better seasons (imo) to come!

2022-06-29 18:28:41 +0000 UTCas you said, rachel and ross are horrible horrible characters, but yet they are important and friends are six characters so if we would tell ross and rachel to fuck off we still have four other characters that deserve our interests, maybe not that much with monica or phoebe even though her weirdness is funny, but definitly we owe it to joey and chandler of being legendary and the best characters in the show, you should finish it for them
