I agree what you said about the villages. And i will say it again, i love how they corporate real life problems/ actions in this show, with giving you a lesson at the same time. - Great episode showing Katara's growth and more importantly, her personality. - Sokka is the one who planned the invasion. They have a scedule because they have to be at a certain place in time for the invasion, thats why he is so focused on it. He is right that they just dont have the time to help, its not that he doesnt want to. But i agree that he is a little to harsh. - The painted lady is the spirit of the river. Because it was polluded she was trapped and couldnt do anything. Thats why she thanked Katara. She saved/helped the villagers and her.
