The first comment already mentioned this, but this is YEAR 2 Batman. So, this is a young Bruce Wayne who is more obsessed with being Batman than being concerned about his public image aka billionaire. He has not found the balance or even want the concept of a double life or having the mask of Bruce Wayne nor is he a the billionaire playboy. He is just a young male adult who is still suffering from PTSD from his parent’s murder. He is angry, emotional, and has no filter. That’s why he’s more aggressive and bad ass because… this is why he says “HE IS VENGEANCE” not Batman. But throughout this movie and his encounter with Riddler and uncovering the long corruption in GC. He finally realized that he has to be something more than he is..he has to do more and be that hope/hero for the people of Gotham instead of just staying in the shadows. I also want to point out that this is NOT CONNECTED to previous Batman movies that you have watched. This is it’s on stand alone movie and I like I said, this is Bruce Wayne/Batman just starting out in his 2nd year. Totally new story line and also origins of the villains. So we’re not just seeing the development of young Batman, but the start/development of Catwoman, Penguin, and Riddler.

Two side notes: A 2008 film called "Little Ashes" gave us Robert Pattinson as young Salvador Dali; and did you realize you just watched 'Falcone' as 'Shooter' in Secret Window? As always, top-notch, mate.

2022-04-28 06:32:36 +0000 UTCI absolutely love this Batman! People who have read the comics have said that this is the most accurate live action Batman we have ever seen. I could talk about this movie forever but i'll just mention a few things. I thought Robert was so great in this. The fact that he was mostly in costume the entire film and was still able to portray emotions through his eyes is just 🤌🤌 About Batman not flying... this is supposed to be a year 2 Batman. So Bruce is way younger in this which you can tell from his demeanor since in the other movies the two sides of batman and bruce are so seperated but in this they are pretty much the same cause he hasnt developed that billionaire bruce wayne image. He also hasnt yet improved his suit so it could fly. This Batman is not as experienced as the others, which i think is very cool cause its a fresh take on Batman The last thing is that yes that was the Joker at the end. There is actually a deleted scene from the movie which is on youtube and i recommend watching it. Batman actually goes to talk to the Joker in Arkham to get his perspective on the Riddler case. So they have already met before and Batman has caught him. It was a cool touch and it builds the world of this movie nicely! I just cant wait for the next one 🙈🙈❤
