Avatar : The Last Airbender Season 2 Episode 7

If there was one weakness I would give Avatar: The Last Airbender is that Zuko has a far more profound story than Aang. Now understand that I am not diminishing Aang's journey. Not in the slightest. But Zuko's story is so much more dynamic. At its face that just makes the whole show better, but I almost wish the whole series was called Avatar and the Fire Prince: The Last Airbender

This one is actually my favorite episode. It's so sad to me but a pivotal moment in understanding Zuko

Dillon: "This series is almost a 10 out of 10 for me" Me, knowing whats coming: your mind will be blown and your heart... well lets just say, let me hear your rating at the end of this season. I know i say this alot, but im soooo hyped and excited for youu! - First, i like your new setting. I hope you're more comfortable now. - Even though the Earthkindom is on the 'good' side, doesnt mean everyone is a good person. Those soldiers use their power to threaten and bully others. Weak. And! The moment the man left the house, they went after the mother and son, how pathetic can you be?? - Its funny, 2 episodes back Zuko stole food. And now he doesnt want to take the offer, unless he has done some work. You got to respect that. - As you can see, Iroh was also fighting for the firenation. But it wasnt untill he lost his son, that he changed and realized that what the firenation does is wrong. After that he had a change of heart as well and became the incredible man he is today. - Not sure if you got this, but it was a big reveal. Iroh should have been firelord. As you saw, Ozai was punished by his father and needed to sacrifice Zuko. Mom was against it and something happened. She disappeared (what happened to her?) and his grandfather became firelord, instead of Iroh. - Zuko was born with the traits of his mother, while Azula was born with the traits of their father. Zuko was raised by his mother and received motherly love. While Azula was raised by their father. He always prioritized Azula because she had talent, power and the brains to be ruthless and strong. Zuko is like the most of us. Trying our best but failing everytime. But you see how strong he is now and he doesnt even need firebending to be a great fighter. I think that at this point, whoever didnt feel for Zuko, does now. It breaks your heart to see what he had to go through at young age. He is still struggling now and like you said, he is lost. I actually liked that you didnt say that much. I can see how invested you were in the episode and you were kind of speechless at the end. Sometimes i forget, that if this is the first time watching, its a lot to take in.
