Just a Quickie
Added 2021-11-08 04:35:16 +0000 UTCHello, wanted to make a quick post on things. I took on a contract a few weeks back and that ended up eating away at most of my working time. Unfortunately, since I still have not gotten to a point where I feel comfortable running a charged release, I may have to take these opportunities if they come along. I finished up my obligations this weekend and will be moving back to working on Aylia's Story. I'll keep you all posted and will do a proper update on things this week if I can't give you something better.
Thanks!

Don't you worry, no one wants to charge you money more than I! Jokes aside, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I do have a release plan, and I do think things will eventually start rolling a bit more downhill. It's just keeping things moving. Despite them not being what I truly wanted, the short alpha releases were really helpful for a number of reasons.

But right now my bigger concern is that YT is having so much trouble getting into a rhythm. I would love to be in a situation where I am thinking "I gave YT *too much* money last quarter, he's releasing a lot so I want to lower my per-release money" because that would mean he's solved this problem.

2021-11-08 15:23:10 +0000 UTCAh, some of us pay a pretty penny per update. The updates needs to have something real in them!

2021-11-08 15:19:10 +0000 UTCI appreciate that you charge per release as an ethical consideration, but honestly I'd rather pay for dinky releases than not pay for no releases. If you've created a billing situation where you are motivated to *not* release, you might want to revisit the plan a bit.... we're okay with giving you money, we just want releases :-) Even small ones are good!
