Good Morning!
I guess an explanation is in order. I'm not going to write a long winded, excuse filled post. Things happened that slowed progress, I procrastinated, I wasted time re-editing and re-fixing things, whatever. It all ends up the same. If you've never tried to write a story, draw a picture, even code a program, it may be hard to understand, but your creative endeavor is NEVER done, never. I could go through the prologue right now and start making changes, because you can always make it "better." In fact, I've probably rewritten the prologue no less than 50 times. An experienced developer probably knows how to move on, to ignore mistakes, to get a product released. You're stuck with a learning amateur.
Here's what's going to happen. A good portion of the game is ready to go, but it needs to be input into RPG Maker, which takes a surprising amount of time due to the less than ideal interface for dialogue work, eventing, etc. I'm going to start releasing the beta, with the advise that you don't play every single iteration. It's your call, but I'd use the beta as proof that the game is progressing and we're nearing the finish line. I've tried to post a few images and game concepts along the way, but people want to see something playable. I don't blame them, as it has been two freakin' years. So, I'll be uploading increasing increments of the game throughout the month. It could be daily, it could be every 2-3 days. These will be small increments as I move completed images, written dialogue, etc. to RPG Maker. I'll keep a running changelog, and give you an idea of what to expect, so you know whether it's worth the 80mb download and your time.
This first version is not worth your time, and probably won't be until Friday. So, download it if you wish, pick it apart (all 15 minutes of it), your call. I'll have the full prologue input with all the new tweaks by Thursday, and then start putting chapter 1 the rest of the way in. Still, if you want proof that I'm working, you can download it and see that things have changed quite a bit.

(You probably have to manually copy/paste the link to get it to work)
Changelog version 0.01:
Game ends after the intro sequence because I reworked my faceset labeling when the sprites came in. Meaning, the game will crash when it tries to pull Bogwort's faces. I could rename the file, but there's no point since I've not input the final stuff beyond that anyways.
Version 0.02 will be uploaded Thursday:
Should contain the entire prologue with all the new artwork and events. All I'm doing tomorrow and Thursday is inputting stuff into RPG Maker.
I'll be creating a YTGaming Discord later this week. I'll be on the discord most days while I'm working. You can pop in and chat real time, relay concerns, etc. This also should help me keep on task, since it's easy to procrastinate when I'm my own boss I'm finding out.
Finally, I can't stop you, but I'd appreciate if you didn't share the beta beyond Patreon. First, there is literally no point sharing 0.01. The only reason to play it is to see that things are changing. Second, I do plan on releasing things publicly when they are ready. If you want to see this endeavor succeed, it really helps for public releases to be polished.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Give me a bit more time. The only crutch I have to prop myself up after all my failed promises is that I'm not charging you monthly. It is also the reason I often let myself get distracted and procrastinate (Yes, my love of video games is a detriment), for what's it's worth. I neutralize the behavior by saying, "Well, I'm not charging them, so what's a few more days." Days turn into weeks quickly. At least if I start doing quick, incremental releases. You can choose to play or not, I'd recommend waiting, but it'll keep me honest. Despite what you see here, there is a lot done. I've got a lot of artwork not input in RPG Maker, pretty much the entire chapter is written in Microsoft Word, I've got 2-3 chapters fleshed out in Labrynth, with a draft of the entire game. I've got sprites, animations, audio ready to go. I've got scripts in Notepad++ that need to be setup. So, It's not like I've wasted two years, I've just fiddled around a bit too much without putting the actual game together. I think you'll see that with the incremental releases, in that it would be impossible to get them done in a few days if this stuff was not ready to go in outside programs.
Thank you for your patience, see you at the finish line
