T-Minus 14 days currently
Added 2015-12-18 07:24:39 +0000 UTCJust a quick update, since I've been silent for awhile. My little man (18 month old son) has been in the hospital for a few days. Everything looks good now, but he'll be there for at least 1 more day. As such, I've halted the countdown since I'm not working on the game right now. Although, I brought my laptop into the hospital today and wanted to just give people a quick heads up.
Family will always come first, but as I said, things are progressing nicely. Even with the slight delay, Chapter 1 will be in your guys' hands very soon.
Thanks for your patience, and my next update will be far better news. I'm writing up a lore post on the Eliandre, which should answer some questions people have posed on the forums. Sudoh Lu'kear had his work cut out for him compiling all the information he could on the Eliandre.
EDIT: I am extremely happy to report that my little man and I are home, happy and healthy. All his tests came back okay, and they are confident he had a complex Febrile seizure. Which, while scary as hell, are benign and do not cause any long term issues. He is a bit lethargic today, but he is smiling and playing again.
I am grateful to all the well wishes. For now, I'm going to keep the countdown halted for a few days. I want to spend some time with my little man, just enjoying his company after the scare. I'll put some time in after he goes to bed, like usual, but I doubt it will be anything major for the next day or two. Therefore, I'm guess Chapter 1 will be in your hands either the first or second week of January. The slight delay sucks, but it'll be worth it. Also, I know what my $8,000 reward is going to be, so stay tuned for that :-)

2015-12-20 05:17:19 +0000 UTCAgreed. It is so scary at times. But, thankfully, he is fine and getting back to his old, mischievous self.

2015-12-20 05:17:00 +0000 UTCYea, I only took the laptop up to mess around during down times. Honestly, if things were at all in question, I would not even have taken the time to post the message. But, by that point, everyone was confident that it was a Febrile seizure and there was no risk of long term damage. Just had to wait on tests. Still, it is a huge relief to have those tests done.

2015-12-20 05:14:53 +0000 UTCI'll never put game development ahead of my family. Of that, you can be sure. Glad to see you all have the right priorities as well though! I too hope he is running around causing trouble tomorrow. I think he will be!

2015-12-19 12:11:39 +0000 UTCThe day you stop putting your family first is the day I no longer want to support you making games. I also hope your little man gets better soon and before you know it he'll be running around the house causing trouble!

2015-12-18 18:34:54 +0000 UTCThat sounds terrible, and I'll join everyone else in hoping for the best. Forget the laptop and the game unless you need something to keep busy with or a little distraction, and focus on your son. We and it can wait.
2015-12-18 13:23:24 +0000 UTCHope your son's fine. Never good when infants get sick, they're too tiny and small to resist stuff much!
