Drawing of the Month - January 2025
Added 2025-01-22 15:05:07 +0000 UTCI finally decided on a theme for this year's Drawing of The Month! I'm incorporating a mix of things into each piece, but they're all inspired by Alphonse Mucha art nouveau-style paintings, with imagery from the Zodiacs (either Western or Chinese, depending on what I felt worked best for each piece). I also include each month's birthstone and birth flower! For January, I've gone with Aquarius the water bearer, with garnet gems and carnations.
I hope y'all won't mind a step away from my typical fanart this year as I stretch out my artistic muscles, step out of my comfort zone and try something a little different. Unlike last year where I either scrambled to come up with a concept each month, or procure some suggestions to make a poll and then draw the winner, I have all 12 of the drawings pre-planned. I already have February/March/April sketched out, too, and I'm really pleased with how they're all looking. I hope you'll enjoy them. :)
