Terror in the Tundra Frozen Crypt
Added 2024-06-01 07:32:04 +0000 UTCFinally happy with how this is working. I had quite a bit of backwards and forwards getting an ice effect that I was happy with for the floors and cavern walls. I've designed them to work as standard walls and floor tiles so I can split them up to make individual pieces to go into the Underground Essentials set eventually.
The ice wall was a bit of a fiddle mechanically and also getting it printing nice in a transparent filament. I used PolyLite PETG Clear / Transparent in the sample video attached and glued a balloon LED to the underside to get a nice glowing effect to the full ice cube version.

2024-06-01 10:24:19 +0000 UTCNo the clear filament never prints properly clear, so you just naturally get the frosty effect. I kept the thickness of the model between to 2-4 perimeters, so you get a nice variation in the light that does get though. The transparent PLA I've tried works just as well as the PETG :)
