Chapter 32 - Moon Star Industries

Han Sen was in the kitchen preparing breakfast, calm as he should be. After receiving almost two hours of sermon from his mother yesterday, he revealed that he had lost his virginity and that he would introduce the girl later. And after that, he learned that it wasn't quite how things worked in this futuristic society.

With so many thinking minds as there are grains of sand on the beach, a single order and morality for the entire Alliance was impossible to establish, no matter how hard one tries. It would require a cruel and selfish dictator for that. But, in any case, these morals and ethics are defined by the planet in which one lives and where the culture was built, and above that is the morality of the family itself in which one lives.

Coming from a relatively ordinary family, Han Sen had never experienced anything more than a slap on the head as punishment. But a military family like Qin Xuan's was something much deeper and disturbing. If she were to reveal that she was no longer a virgin, her freedom could be taken away through forced marriage, compulsory labor, or expulsion from the family, as they had to "defend honor" in some way. As influential humans, someone promiscuous within their ranks was unacceptable.

But even with all this, he wasn't worried. His power and influence would only grow with time, and it was possible that at some point, it would be the Qin family begging him to marry Qin Xuan. He didn't intend to spend unnecessary time in the Sanctuary before evolving.

While he was focused on his own things, he saw that his mother was entering the kitchen, clearly having just woken up. She looked at the clothes he was wearing and squinted her eyes.

"Where are you going? Are you going to meet her?" Seeing how well-dressed he was with new clothes, she looked out the window and saw that the sun was still in the morning position. ‘Was this how youth felt? Not even a day of rest?’

"No, it's going to be with another woman-" Han Sen dodged the slipper thrown by his mother. But he noticed that the slipper was about to hit the eggs in the frying pan and caught it before it fell. "Mom, you almost ruined the food...”

"When did you become like this? You were so cute when you were little, I didn't raise you like this and..." Luo Sulan began to reminisce about when he was little and how he used to run up to her and politely answer every question. It seemed like a distant memory compared to the current Han Sen.

"I haven't changed that much, mom. In psychology, it's stated that after you start using drugs-" Another slipper was sent flying towards his face, which he caught and now had a pair in his hands. He put them back on the floor, for his mother to pick up.

"Tell me where you're going." She put on her slippers and sat at the table, giving up on arguing with her son. He always had a joke ready, and it was difficult to argue with someone like that. She just decided to resign herself to it, as she couldn't ask him to be someone he's not.

“I took some money I earned at the Sanctuary and opened a business. I will be going to check on its progress now.” He grabbed a jar of juice and poured it into a glass for his mother, also putting the food on the plate for her.

"What is the business branch?" Luo Sulan ate the sandwich and decided to forgive the things her son says and does. She didn't want to lose such a good chef.

"Technology and market innovation. I'm going to sell the idea of that delivery robot I built and I plan to set up a spare parts store." Han Sen slightly lied about what he was going to do. Was he going to reveal to his mother that he wanted to open a multinational company and sell brand new technology to the whole world at once?

"This is good. Be careful with treacherous deals and stay away from those who don't seem honest." Luo Sulan once again remembered her deceased husband. Even though she didn't reveal to her children the capable woman she is, she was someone who easily knew that her husband's accident smelled of something rotten, politically rotten.

"I will make sure to stay away from them." Han Sen noticed the way his mother said it and decided not to provoke her anymore.

Eating breakfast comfortably, he left before Han Yan woke up and asked to be taken along. Children were nice, but not when it was necessary to deal with business matters. Unless you want to seduce a wealthy woman, then it might work.

After taking the Ultra-Fast Train to a city far away from his own, with a travel time of almost two hours at a speed of about 2000km/h, Han Sen walked through the city with a great interest in everything he saw.

As a planet focused on commerce, it was not surprising that Roca Planet was an amalgamation of business and finance ideas, almost like a technologically advanced flea market. Every moment a new idea emerged and everyone wanted to sell everything at impressive speeds. It was beautiful how capitalism still worked.

Thanks to being a beautiful and organized capital city, all Han Sen could see was the technological jungle formed by the towering skyscrapers and magnificent buildings, flying hovercars everywhere, and people with a more conservative fashion style. He especially stood out with his clothes, attracting some glances from maidens. Some older ones even wondered if he was a hidden idol, as his skin was too good.

'Damn weird female technique...' Han Sen obviously could hear everything, his anger towards the aesthetic part of the [Frozen King Sutra] increasing. Too bad it was impossible to change it again now, even if he wanted to. The technique had already reached an ideal state and any alteration would be a disaster.

While he was thinking about it, he quickly arrived at the location that Jade had sent him. In front of a huge building, with the information she had given him about it being around 30 floors, Han Sen judged it and found it interesting. It had a modernist design and was very white, the windows/TVs gave it an interesting aesthetic with the advertisements that was displayed. And the advertisements were about his delivery robots that were in high demand in the market shortly after the launch.

They had rented the building and divided it into two parts, the first 10 floors for Digital Crowd and the rest for Moon Star. Obviously, it wasn't fully occupied, but that was to accommodate the rapid changes that were going to happen. The last thing a company wants is to keep changing its headquarters to everywhere.

Seeing that there were some employees coming in and out of the building constantly, he climbed the stairs to access the entrance and went in. As he reached the reception, he greeted the smiling receptionist there.

"Good morning, I have a meeting with management." Han Sen smiled at the lady there, who was slightly impressed by the young man's demeanor. Even though he appeared older, he was still 16 years old.

"Good morning. Could you please provide me with your identification so that I can verify it?" The receptionist smiled politely and asked for the information.

Delivering a card that Jade had sent to him, the receptionist inserted it into a reading machine and a very special message appeared for her. Reading the message and doing her best to maintain composure, she smiled again at Han Sen.

"Mr. President, Miss Jade is waiting for you in the meeting room." Probably being one of the first people to greet the Moon Star president, she didn't know how to make a better first impression than just smiling and being polite.

"Thank you very much and good job." Han Sen smiled back and started following the location that the card was showing. In addition to being an access card, it also worked as a map of the company.

Taking a private elevator, he went up to the third-to-last floor and a meeting room appeared as soon as the doors opened. There were several smiling people in the room, and a beautiful black woman with curly hair was sitting at one end, with her usual indifferent expression.

“Good morning, Mr. President!” x10

"And that's basically it, I don't plan on delving deeply into the theme of delivery robots beyond the more advanced proposal I made. As we transition to more advanced equipment, which constitutes a large part of the military's needs, we can choose the civilian market for just a few innovations and thus we can dominate both markets at once. At some point, Moon Star will only be a patent and business holding, but that would be something for the future. Any questions?" Han Sen, after literally creating and delivering half a truckload of new patents for the company to swallow, turned off the holographic function in the room and everything returned to its usual quietness.

With shocked faces, everyone in the room was dumbfounded by what the hell had happened. All of them here were highly regarded in their respective fields, be it business or technology. Yet, they would all have to bow down to Han Sen for his lecture, for the magnificent show he had just presented. If anyone had even the slightest doubt about Moon Star's ability to grow, that doubt has now been erased.

To give an example, Moon Star hadn't even begun to make waves in the international market with delivery robots, but they already had great customer reviews for the extraordinary technology they presented. Nevertheless, Han Sen came here and introduced a new delivery robot project with much more advanced features, and even derived three more inferior models so that the technological leap wouldn't be too big between the products. It was crazy how he designed a roadmap for the company to follow in just 30 minutes.

"Mr. President, I have a question." A young woman, roughly Jade's age, raised her hand upon seeing the amount of documents that Han Sen casually managed to create. "Such a large number of patents entering the market all at once could raise suspicion within the Alliance and become a target for political games. What would be the best way to overcome this problem?”

"I have no idea!" Han Sen admitted openly. He neither knew nor wanted to know. And that's why he approached Jade and pointed at her, "That's why I appointed her as CEO. I am just an inventor and my main focus is on the God’s Sanctuary. So follow her orders as if they were mine.”

Everyone laughed a little when they saw Jade roll her eyes at how Han Sen shifted all the responsibility onto her. After everything was finished, the company executives returned to their respective offices and left only the two of them inside.

"Are you leaving again?" Jade asked after finishing organizing herself. Seeing how Han Sen was looking at the landscape outside, she wondered how a technology genius like him could care so much about other things besides that.

"Yes. It is necessary. I've already told you that this is just a way for me to protect my family from the Son of A Peeled Pineapple." Still looking outside, he thought about several things at the same time.

With a silence that followed between them, with no one saying absolutely anything, Jade approached Han Sen by the window. Just side by side, without touching each other, they admired the landscape.

"I will make sure to build the best shield for your family." Jade suddenly spoke, still with her usual indifferent face. Nonetheless, someone could still perceive the touch of care in her voice.

"And I will make sure to build the best sword for your revenge." Han Sen stated with the same conviction.

Both returned to the comforting silence of mutual understanding, lost in their own geniuses. Jade, at some point in this, turned her indifferent face to Han Sen, seeing his profile and how he seemed more imposing.

"Why are you doing this?" She already knew why he was against Starry Group too, as she had researched about the Han family and the tragic incident of the successful businessman. Even so, she wanted to hear the words come out of his mouth.

"Well..." Han Sen shrugged and turned to leave. Not giving a response until he reached the end of the hallway, he winked at her and waved goodbye.

"What wouldn't I do to win the heart of a maiden?"
