Finally someone else than me who didn't figured what it was all about when they were about to leave school until he actually grabbed the phone. I've seen so many reaction videos of this series and I don't know how many said something like "oh, it must be something with his family. What if someone died?" before even Boris (the councilor) shows up. The first time I saw this, I had absolutely no idea and haven't really been able to relate to those who had. So thanks for being as honestly clueless as I was. Yeah, it's such a tragedy and definitely affect Wille in so many ways! About your questions: Bjärstad is a fictive area, and as everything else (except for the fictive castle) it's filmed in Ekerö (mostly Ekerö centrum, Träkvisa och Stenhamra), just outside of Stockholm. The song they sing in church is the school anthem, so it's all fictional. Please, keep watching season 2, and you will see it reoccur but in a new form (the song is a big part of S2)
