2021-10-07 08:27:13 +0000 UTCI just realized it. Devick is just Ystrix all over again. But this time, a lot more vicious. The overbearing yet compassionate mother figure of Ystrix, who does stuff the child hates but it's all in some way for his own good. And now, the dark and self-centered mother figure of Devick who likes the idea of having a child, but is thinking of herself rather than the child's wellbeing and is continuously doing said child harm due to her selfish whims.

The amount of twists and turns covered in the past chapters feel like they could use twice the amount of time to make it feel more grounded; the fact that there are multiple POV shifts to keep things making sense I think is indicative of the pace being too fast.
