Redone Kara-Tur Map (Roll20 Res, Hexes)
Added 2022-04-25 12:51:26 +0000 UTCAfter a surgery, several job changes, and the replacement of a whole computer. Kara-Tur has finally been redone! Please tell me what you all think this map was rough to make but I think it came together pretty well in the end. Promise you all the next ones will be coming out faster, planning for a big combined Map of Faerun, Zakhara, Hordelands, and Kara-Tur next. Also if anyone has actually run anything in Kara-Tur please tell me about it, genuinely curious about how people have run games in this setting.

Glad to see this one's come at a good time! Also I had the same issue just making this guy! Had to use Handsome Rob's Toril map as the main reference because everything else was lacking. I like that, I'm a sucker for games with politics and power struggles Shou Lung seemed perfect fit for that. Rather the region as a whole has a lot of interesting nations *Stares at Wa*

My campaign set in Kara-Tur is going quite well right now. The hardest part is the severely lacking detail from official materials on many of the lands, as far as I can find them anyway. But nevertheless it does allow for me to have a nice breath of fresh air from the standard European fantasy. My party are set to hunt down a Book of Keeping, but they almost immediately decided to pick a side in a power struggle in Shou Lung. In the style of the old Oriental Adventures modules which drew influence from the popular asian media of the day, my Kara-Tur is drawing a lot from anime, visual novels and JRPGs. Not that we've used a lot of it yet, Shou Lung is big enough for a campaign in and of itself. For me the real fun will occur when we go to Wa.
