It's time for some TRAIN action

Trains. I love trains. Vast, hulking engines that could smash a car to pieces.

Also, Japan loves trains, so it's fitting they have a set of games based around driving a train. They're called Densa de GO! and I've got some versions for the Playstation, along with a hench train controller.

Let's see what they can do.

Enjoyed the video! I remember playing one of these games at the Game On exhibition in Newcastle a few years ago. Very relaxing as you say! The setup they had was actually similar to a standard PlayStation controller, except the d-pad had been replaced with a small wheel and the action buttons replaced with the accelerator. I was desperate to play more as I really enjoyed it and was relieved to find out a similar game was available on 3DS for download. Very similar gameplay but making use of the touchscreen for the train controls. The normal DS controls can be used too.

I just prefer original hardware and the packaging it comes in.

We in Germany have our little niche of Train enthusiasts too, but yeah, most of these kind of games tend to end up as job simulators and hence not very popular over here in the west. We rather slay a dragon or race trough the city in expensive cars followed by the blue race organizers with their fancy red and blue lamps. :D And a curious question, even if you don't plan on using any backups, why don't you simply use a modded console to circumvent shitty region locking?
