Dec 15 Updates!

You may have noticed the next complete novel update was posted to the discord last week. I planned to do another editing round when I wasn't sleep deprived and... well, that took a few days*. There also ended up being two art tweaks as well - Neshui will now have appropriate levels of smirk in her image and the drider has pupils. That'll be updated later today with the tweaked images, and the update will be posted publicly shortly after.

*I heavily revised the Amri section... again.  I feel I had two main issues - my sentences would benefit from being split into shorter ones, and the verbage was still a bit emotionally detatched. It needed less describing of what is happening to Amri and more conveying of what Amri is *experiencing*. How does it feel, etc.

I tweaked the Rika/Safi/Amber section as well, although not to the same degree. I think I did better with that section the first time around, aside from an increase in typos near the end.

Speaking of updates, I'm changing the weekly status updates from Friday Night / Saturday Morning to MONDAY NIGHT / Tuesday morning. That'll go a long way towards making them weekly again. I also feel the previous google doc update style of periodic bursts would be better off being weekly updates, we'll see how that goes.

There was also the weekly events I mentioned in the Dec 1st update. Well, week 2 isn't over yet so I'm thinking of doing the character Q&A this Sunday at 11PM CST. The first week's ramble-session was meh, I think, so I think I'll skip those. Although if I want to do weekly events I need to think of something besides character Q&A. Well, if I think of another event type you'll hear about it this upcoming Monday.

One last thing - I am considering / will probably move WIPs to the $5 tier. The reason for this is that, due to the reduced number of illustrations, the role of concept art in the main series is mostly being replaced by illustration roughs. I'm currently looking at some unrealeased roughs for next-next update (end of Dec), and the first version of one of the images is *completely different* from the second one. Normally that would have been avoided by concept arting the arena, but since Eldrik doesn't have to draw entire comic pages in rapid succession anymore he would rather just re-do an image rough instead of drawing out the surroundings ahead of time.  The sewers are another example of this - there didn't end up being any concept art of what the sewer looked like outside of the little bit we saw in the background of the Amri images.

...one last one last thing: Minicomic updates! You may have already seen the half-dozen initial concept art pieces for Regulation Packing posted to the discord last week. Given Rasha's work on Bubble, Packing will likely be finished sometime next month if not sooner.

Deck was delayed due to a member of CG's family passing away, along with ongoing internet issues in their region. There will likely be another update this weekend.

MTM is still being worked on, I'll have more information on that later this month.
