Nov 17th Updates!

First off, the 2/4 of the upcoming update’s illustrations are in the WIPs section (they just need noises added). I also posted 2 sketch pages from the upcoming MTM minicomic.  If you missed it, a WIP from the upcoming Devilish Deck mini was posted above that one awhile back.  The DD artist is in the middle of a family emergency so that’s been delayed, although they are aiming to have 2 more pages sketched next week.  As the last bit of minicomic news, I’ll be reaching out to the artist that did the recent bubble minicomic about doing another minicomic on our todo list~.
Ah! One more last bit of minicomic news – there’s less than 2 weeks remaining in this month’s minicomic vote! I recall the poll I did regarding the minicomic votes noted most non-voters (who vote in polls at least) just don’t remember so.. well, here’s a reminder. Any option could still win, although I admit it’d take 7 votes to current leader. You guys and gals certainly appear to be fond of spiders!

Minicomics aside, let's talk about the novel writing has been going. I’ve been working on a section that occurs after the bit that occurs after the last bit in the google doc. Basically, there was a farther-in-the-future sequence I needed to hash out first and completely overhauled it.  Then I did that again. And again. And again. The last overhaul was earlier this week, I think it’s in a good place now. If you want more details do feel free to poke me in the spoiler section. That said, going forward I’ll be aiming to update the doc more frequently.   I wonder if people would prefer me waiting until it’s nearly complete / to the point where final revisions will still have the same gist even if I redo all the text (like I did for the last finished update), or if they’d rather see the fluctuations that happen when I make large changes to a later scene and it completely changes the previous one.

Finally, the results of the previous poll were ~54% in favor of B&W non-sexual scenes, 20% in favor of fewer all-color non-sexual scenes, ~13% in favor not illustrating non-sexual scenes at all, and ~13% being fine with anything. As such, we’re going with B&W images for the non-sexual scenes. Thank you for participating!

It is very likely that I’ll be seeking feedback next month regarding what to focus on and to what extent to do so** for the upcoming major sexual content scene starting 2 finished updates from now. Which brings me to another issue…

The “what to focus on for this future illustration set” is obviously a spoiler. How do I handle that vote?  Should I note the poll itself is a spoiler… or would it be fine to have people vote on specifics without knowing what character(s) it’s for...?  I guess I could have it both ways, noting who it’s for in the spoiler section and then having the poll be vague…? To an extent some spoiling would be unavoidable, as I’d need to describe what’s being voted on...

**That is to say, how many illustrations. 9? 12? 15? Perhaps I should do the “how many” poll first, as “what to focus on” would be less important to a longer sequence but critical if we do it in 9 images.
