Even with a Tournament, or Battle Royal or Tag Team in a battle tower, even if you had it be the most epic concept, there is nothing at stake. Even if you had all the Demon Lords fight, it would have nothing at stake since its a friendly match & Team Slime has all the most power people. Even if you let the servants do a FFA, again, no stakes. Not a single one of them is interesting enough for my to want to watch them fight anymore. No banter, no stakes, and the conversations are basic. There's no hook left for me, and I can't even remember the last time this anime made me laugh :(

If the building element is what its about then I have missunderstood it entirely, I found the first season to be more funny with the typical things you'd expect; delete the HDD, Elf Girls in a Hostess bar, Mass Producing High End equipment as a Player and totally blowing the NPCs minds. As someone who actually enjoys building things, both in games and irl (and my favorite part about RTS was always the building part not soo much the combat) this just felt.... Easy Mode? its probably because it tries to add economics but its... basic AF, and then also politics but its.... basic AF, so im left.... literally able to follow everything thats happening on x2 speed because if i go x1 speed im struggling to focus because of how slow/basic things are.

But from what you said even after next ep you still didn't like what was happening because most people collectively agreed that 14-17 where all good episodes getting better and better as time ran on.....ok that x20 speed at the end is just disrespectful...

2024-08-22 06:46:29 +0000 UTCDoes every part of a show need conflict? Because this is a LONG show, not every arc needs to have some insane conflict that needs resolving. The Hinata vs Rimuru rematch was meant to be short and meaningless because of the misunderstanding, however the anime decided to DRAG it out MUCH longer than it needed to be. You are once again missing the point on what slime is, its a world building show, and this festival sets MANY things up. While this season is 100% the least exciting season, it wasn't because of bad writing or "running out of plot(Trust me, this show has plot in the Tons)", all of this stuff is important whether you like it or not, and there is so much lore to this world that even I, one of the biggest slime fans ever, can't keep up with all the lore. Like when you called the labyrinth "random fluff" if you think that, your just factually wrong, but that's spoilers of course. You've basically been berating the show for what its meant to be, I understand some criticisms but most of what you say is less constructive and more agitated beratement. Appreciate the show for what its trying to be not what you think its suppose to be. Once again i can guarantee you EVERY season after this one will be VASTLY more interesting but that's like two years from now. While i don't know if any main people will fully die in this show ever, even without that, some situations can and will be intense and amazing, and that's just from me knowing bit's and pieces from the LN. Also you never explained how the things they do "aren't politics" or "this isn't economics" I want you to explain the difference. (keep in mind you may have addressed some things here but I'm writing this before i could finish the reaction because it is too late at night and my sleep schedule is already fucked).
